Beating the mechanics sounds more rational than shooting your truck, which was unlucky to fall into the hands of such mechanics.

The gubmint says we truckers pollute too much.So they put a regeneration sysytem on the exhaust. It burns up the exhaust into cleaner air.😀 😛

Those smog inspections are a racket,pure and simple.

I agree cost us like 200 bucs two years ago. There was some tiny hole in a pipe, they said gas vapors were pouring out and polluting the enviroment. Took the mechanic like three days to find the hole.

Hopefully,these repairs will be under warranty. But then,this is the sixth time in a five month period for this system to foul up.
