It was. The people who should be automatically invited include the Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Homecoming King and Queen (if your HS had those).

Yea we had all of those. The difference between me and Salutatorian was I got an A in chemistry he got a B. 😀 😛

In California now they have requirements, everyone needs to take a certain number of classes in each subject area like Science Math Social Studies Humanities etc.

We had distribution requirements, too, but I fulfilled my science requirement by taking two physics courses. 😀 😛

They changed that here recently. Each course has to be in a different discpline. Like Geology and Physics or Biology and Chemistry. The irony was many chemistry majors were told that were not taking enough science courses LOL 😛
