Yes, it spins around. It took them half an hour to assemble it, because it came in a box in five pieces: base, seat, back, left arm, right arm. Many screws were required and they were neither ordinary nor Phillips Head but rather hexagonal-holed screws. The delivery people had an hexagonal screw driver with them.

Ok Zoddy here it is.

My dad and I were up at his house in NH. He's been out of my life for a long time, but over the past two years, we are slowly reconnecting, and it's like meeting him for the first time in a way.

So anyway, he squared off with me in his living room and wanted an early morning red neck brawl. It was very redneck stlye.

Luckily, I am familiar with lions behavior, and know most things are all roar. So I turned my body to his without moving forward and said, "I you really want to do this, let me get a kitchen knife."

Suddenly there was an emergency that sent him barreling off the couch. He suddenly realized I'm not 8 anymore, or my mother, and that in spite of my sweet and kind nature, he shouldn't mistake it for weakness. The words that I thought were fighting words were, "Oh, know you're going to shut down becase someone is yelling at you?" To which I responded, "You have my full attention. Let's do this."

I've never stood up for myself before during his tirades as a girl. But even people with long fuses and love in their hearts need to set boundaries. I hated myself for acting that way. My dad is 71.

Comments are welcome. I'm still processing it. I'm not kidding. It was total redneck living which I stepped away from long ago.

I don't think you should hate yourself for acting that way. Sometimes,you need to take a stand for what is right. 🙂

I hear you hun :twohugs: It is at times similar to the way my dad acts. He is 85. He feels the need to always be in charge even though now he needs a lot of help with stuff. His views on most things are rather archaic. He still thinks if you are a guy and have a stuffed animal you are gay. Or if you grow flowers and you are a guy you are gay. :sigh: There are things though that remind you that he is still your dad. Like the model spaceship he built for me out of metal parts. I still have that. Might put it up on my site as the official KTT logo. 😀 All that being said I find now stand up for myself much more then in the past. Like when he tries to handle my expensive minerals and crystals to show them off to someone. Or if the tries to move something of mine without telling me.
