Rather boring. Everything is unplugged due to a flurry of thunderstorm activity in the area. So I just took a lot of naps.

I was running a diagnostic on my computer like I do once a month to keep it running speedily and discovered my harddrive was all messed up. So, I called the Dell people and am having a tech come to my house on Tuesday between 9-5 to install a new one and take the old one away. I had 19 days left on my warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't call my Dell amazing. But it gets the job done as long as you fix problems before the warranty expires. My expectation is that the exact same part will function the exact same way. I mean I expect this next hard drive to last a whole 11 months. That how long I've had the computer. But warranties are great if you get problems while they are still in force!

These days I dont blame anyone for getting any system if they are offering a good deal on it. If you are just using to cruise the net and for regular sort of stuff. Its probably ok. I always think more in term of art workstations. I like to be able to fix things myself if possible. Dell makes that a bit harder.

A good hard drive should last about 5 years. If yours lasted less then a year, thats not too good. Its all good though as long as its under warranty cause then Dell has a pay for the bad drive. 😀

The X factor in your mom and dad is that they can focus on just one thing and use ALL their energy for that. BOLO for repetitive motions that are slow but unending. They can still cause trouble. It just takes a little longer. 😀

Yea I understand. 24/7 care is very pricey though. Does she need 24/7? A relative would be best if possible. Its not easy situation I know 🙁

Not 24/7 care. Mostly when my step dad is at work,or if he has to go shopping.
