The Jannai say they are made of molded energy and they are very powerful weapons. It seems the ship was overrun initially before the weapons in this room could be acitvated. The Jannai commited what is called Habu a ritulistic form of suicide in which the Jannai basically explode with a powerful explosion. Most of the damage to the ship comes from those explosions. Thats what enabled them to cleanse the ship of enemies before activating the force field which has been on for over 20 billion years now. 😀 😀 😛
