I wonder how much better DSL is over dialup 😀 😛
Its a lot faster. I heard some people though had problems with it disconnecting all the time. I hope they have fixed that by now LOL.
😀 😀 😛
It's always something with technology 🙁
😀 😛
Sometimes this Sprint wireless internet isn't that great A lot of it depends on what kind of connection speed I can get Usually if I am in the middle of nowhere, the speed isn't that great 😀 😛
Is the wireless hook up faster then dial-up?
😀 😀 😛
Oh yes
In the area I am in,it's a slow connection speed But the speed tonight is 11 MB per second I have gotten .20 GB speed at times usually when I am in,or near a good sized population area, the speed gets higher
My Sprint plan costs about $57 per month 😱 But then if I used truck stop wireless,I can only connect at those truck stop areas 😀 😛
Wow that is pretty fast. 😀 I cant afford 57 dollars a month though. 🙁
😀 😀 😛
Please to be striking the word Aether, and install the word Ethernet for internet service 😀 😛
I would probably go with DSL from my ISP since I could keep the same email address then. 😀 😀 😛
I can remember when the only choice was dial up 😱
😀 😛
That did make things easier in away. 😀 😀 😛
Easier true But slower for downloading I want my stuff now dadgum it Time's awaysting 😛
😀 😛
Well thats why before when you bought stuff you got it on CD. Now you buy software they expect you to download. I am sorry if I pay 500 dollars for a piece of software I want a CD and a manual. I dont want to download it myself.
😀 😀 😛
Don't blame you there my friend For me the Sprint is cheaper I was paying $20 or so a month for each truck stop chain TA and Flying J Then also paying for dial up for when I used it at home, motel,or a terminal
I don't have a need to download software Downloading clips with wireless is so nice I have seen some clip sites that sell special clips for dial up users That's nice of them 😀 😛
Yea for clip downloading a faster connection is quite desirabe. 😀
Many software manufacturers though use this as an excuse for not offering a box product. They also say it better for then enviroment. sheesh. I have seen companies expecting you downlaod as much as 2 Gb worth of stuff cause they are too cheap to put on CD or DVD.
😀 😛
Even on a wireless connection,2 GB would take a looooooooooooooong time to download 😱
😀 😛
Exactly my point and then you have to burn it to DVD or CD. So you have not only the loss in time but also you hve to pony up for the DVD or CD which I find ludicrous after spending sometimes as much as 700 dollars for a piece of software.
😀 😀 😛
Maybe the software people are in cahoots with the blank CD people 😱
😀 😛
Who knows lol. Just seems to me a bit like those resturants where you pay more money and "get to cook" your own food. 😕 😕 Call me old fashioned but when I goto a resturant I expect the chef/cook to do the cooking. 😀 😀 😛
Old fashioned 😛
I've never been to a place where you pay to cook your own food I can't see a truck stop doing that 😀 😛
