I do believe I have a restart disk for my laptop 😀 😛
Cool then I would do the first option once your new laptop is up and running and you are crusing on the net. 😀
When a file is deleted on a hard drive only the header containing the name and some info about the file is actually deleted. The data remains intact for the most part. This is how file recovery programs work they look for types of data and rebuild the file and the header. Reformating after deleting makes it harder to recover those files. 😀
