Well I feel marijuana was made illegal mainly because of it hallucenogenic properties. Seems that really scared the bejesus out of state officials.

Cigarettes have sorta been a popular target as of late but have not been made illegal because of the revenuse gained from taxes. It sort of ironic to me you try to tax people out of using something rather then just banning it outright.

Alcohol is just to popular (especially among politicians 😛) I think for officials to touch it. Prohibition failed I think largely for that reason.

Yes, I believe that is exactly the case. Too popular to be banned for long, the public voted in politicians willing to repeal the ban. 😀 😛

Well I raised the point. Who would you rather have flying your plane a pilot who smoked a pack of cigarettes or the pilot who downed a couple of pints of gin. 😀 😀 😛

I agree. Personal responsibility seems to have gone out the window. Rather we seem to always rely on the state to tell us what to do. This is not good. 😀 😛
