Yes important not vital however. Often if I goto unknown sites I turn the security settings on my Internet Explorer to high which effectively shuts off Java from running. This prevents any Java Script viruses from running. 😀

I don't know if I've ever been to a site in Russia. Everything is mixed on many servers, and that is why virus protection is so very important. Last year I got a trojan horse virus, and had to buy a virus killer. :omg:

I use a Firewall, Antivirus and Antispyware. Prevention though is always a wise thing. Unfortunately some 3d software is written by russian programmers so I sometimes must go there whether I like it or not. 🙂

To remove it, I had to buy software for 9.99. I think it was called Spycatcher. The virus was in my browser, so it did weird things when I was on the net. So I put the disk in, and it went through all my files and cleaned them. It wasn't hard.

But it made me think of the internet as one giant orgy of programs all mixed together, and I never log on without protection. LOL :omg:

I think people who create viruses and trojans for the internet should have a few of their fingers chopped off :sowrong:

The internet is filled with spyware and viruses and trojans.

You should have 1) A firewall 2) Antivirus and 3) Antispyware that will give you protection against most things you will run up against. 🙂
