I think upper management for the truck stop chains tell the people at the individual truck stops to have it on news,or a weather channel I don't follow sports,but I'd rather have the diner TV on sports 😀 😛

Very true. Fights could erupt over politics or sports (if some viewers are rooting for opposite teams).

Well, I am a notorious Dodger fanatic. At that game, these particular fans of the hated jints were not merely cheering for their own team but also chanting obscenities about the Dodgers.

What I actually did instead of starting a fight was two things. 1) Told them they ought to have a fatal car accident on the way home and burn to death slowly. 2) Found an usher and told him that they were chanting obscenities. The usher came over and they shut up. 😀 😛
