Yea it is getting rather difficult. Dad is getting harder to deal with and mom is getting worse. 🙁 We cant find a place for dad because A) he would not go and B) We cant afford it. At the least I am hoping the health care thing fails... if it doesnt they will likely tax mom and dad for having insurance that is too good and I will have to help them pay those taxes. 🙁

Yes it is a rather nasty way of raising money. :sowrong: Ironically they may even tax my Aunt who was a french teacher. She barely gets by as it is. The only thing she realy has going for her is the health insurance she got as a teacher. 🙁

My employer provides me with what I always thought was a mediocre plan but it turns out it is just above the boundary to be taxed under the Senate bill. 😱

I am sorry my friend, that not right at all. :disgust:

Its scary stuff going on. 😱 Some sort of glorified Robin Hood like setup where you try to level everything out. I already wrote my congressman and informed him politely if he votes for any kind of reform I will not be voting for him. 😛
 
Yes, we have quite an ordinary plan with no dental coverage, large co-pays for out-of-network doctors, deductibles at the beginning of the year, and certain annoying limitations (such as no coverage for check-ups or vaccinations done out-of-network), and yet the Baucas bill still would call it a taxable plan. 😱

This is all ridiculous. I don't think the government is helping Kurchie at all. Taxing elderly folks to get money is not the right way to go.
My question is: What are we going to do as more and more people become senior citizens.
