The lair is built and shaped like the Pentagon, five sided... the council is directly in middle, protected in multi-layers.... an ever changing maze, with hard to decypher lock codes....masters of deception, its ever changing prisms are defense mechanisms from intruders
You do indeed have to take on the two giants, but they're powers are ancient and powerful.... they have little armies to do their fighting for them, called the shape-shifters, an invisble clan that dates back milleniums..if they have to end up fighting, you must attack them from all sides, too strong to fight them head up, and they force fields to protect them for our primitive weapons....
To beat the Dark Council, it is gonna take magic just as dark and powerful as they are...must combine our forces with a magic source... a source such as a whitelighter, would do the trick
The lair has secret entrances, and exits, and thru magic, and unless the codes are decyphered, the maze will turn from five sides, to a circle, which leaves the intruder frustrated with ending up back where they started...masters of the mind game, the intent is to drive you insane with deja-vu antics
