Awesome!

I'm fine today. 😀 😛 I had a great time last night with Goddess Shelly.![]()

Indeed I am. I hope all is well with you. 😀
You know Deutsch!
I'd answer in German, but I'd be cheating and using a translator.
I remember so little of the German I was taught in school. 🙁
Anyway, I am good. How're you?![]()
LOL Hehehehe Chemists at the PhD level are required to read German. Although I must confess I have forgotten a lot of it. 😛
Glad you are well. I am good to. 🙂
I once spoke German fluently after four college courses in it and a summer in Berlin. But that was 40 years ago. 😱
😀 😛

😀 I wish I was fluent in it since I'm mostly German. Alas I am not, maybe one of these days I'll get that language learning CDs the Rosetta Stone and relearn it. 😀 I also wish I was fluent in Greek as well since I've always been fascinated by Greek mythology and Greek culture. 😀

I could never learn languages easily so it's a shame that I've forgotten it after so much effort to learn it. 🙁
😀 😛
Its been a long time for me too. I also spoke French at one point. That too was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.![]()

I dont think I was ever fluent in it. I could read it with the help of dictionary and did ok. German technical literature is most difficult to read.
I like Greek Mythology too.![]()

It used to be true in mathematics also, but today almost everything is available in English. 😀 😛
All French chemical literature is well only available in French. 😀
Why am I not surprised? 😀 😛Wow, really? That's so cool.
Same here when I learned German. I could read it, but speaking it was hard.
Hehe, I love Greek Mythology. It's where I got the name Nemesis.
As the saying goes "If you don't use it, you lose it." Though, that saying can't be too true about some things. 😛
Why am I not surprised? 😀 😛
Most modern German chemical loterature is available in English. The very old stuff is not.

I would have taken German in High School too but the High School teachers name was Stalin. LOL He was an ex-Jesuit priest who left cause he said he was being chased by demons. 😛 Anyway first thing he always said in class was "You will work hard in this class because Germans like to work." So I took French. 😛
I took a course in Ancient Greek Civilization. Even attended a play by Sophocles at Cal Tech. 😀 I iz edjumicated. 😛
I guess when given those options, I'd have chosen French as well. 😛
I have no plans to ever visit France again. 😀 😛
My experience was that the people were quite rude to tourists. One of my nieces had a better experience there, but I imagine that was because they can manage to be polite to beautiful young women.![]()
😀 😛
I was only in Paris, their biggest city. Maybe that was my mistake. 😀 😛
From what little I know city people tend to be more rude there. The countryside people were always very pleasant and very nice I was told. 🙂
It's not worth going back there to check that out, I don't think. 😀 😛
I think that's true for many places. City people tend to be ruder than country people. 😀
