Salaries tend to be higher for the same job as elsewhere because prices are higher. It is tough for a young person first moving here.

Yes, I went to the beach at Coney Island and saw the hot dog eating contest at Nathan's Famous. 😀 😛

I get Hebrew National. They are pretty good. I just dont eat them too often. Like you say not too good to eat them all the time. 😀
