Generally in a train station in a big city there are many fast food outlets where you can buy something to take along.

A fast food outlet inside a train station charges about 10% to 20% higher than one which is a block away outside serving the exact same food. I buy my food for the trip from a Nathan's Famous outlet across the street from Penn Station and save the difference. 😀 😛
