Well its gotten all politcal. Scientists need grants often to do their work if they are not being funded by a company. Those grants get decided now often based on political merit rather then scientific merit. Thus many climate scientists trying to do things that may not "prove" Climate Change dont get funded.

and then....and then.... if a company funds the research well people on the left just say its funded by a company so you cant believe that with out actually reading the paper or looking at the research.

There was the phenomenon of Cold Fusion where scientists thought they had found a way to accomplish fusion in a beaker with special electrodes. Fusion normally requires exceedingly high pressures and temperture, like the sun. Sound implausible right. 😀 Guess what they were wrong. Many were fooled cause ti sounded so cool. The error made was in the appartus used to measure the heat produced. It had too many places were heat could leak in. 🙂

They tried to say only a little fusion was happening and that the process needed to be perfected or some were saying yea see how cool our process is we are doing fusion safely.
