Santa Anas get pretty bad too. It limits what I can do as the power tends to fluctuate a bit then. 🙁

There is a mountain range in Wyomig called Elk Mountain Range. 11,000 feet or so in elevation.Winds can get real bad there. 😀 😛

Oh yes. Its a big problem on the 210 freeway there seem to be a lot of rigs on that one. More so then 405 or 101

There are a lot mountain passes out that way. Also a lot of rigs cause there are a lot industrial areas. 210 take you to Pasadena, LaCanada, Duarte, Irwindale, Azuza to name a few.
