Hi General Zod. Hope you are well. I am under the gun now I got an email from one of my websites saying they are going to close everything down on march 14th. I use that site to host some of my ads and THE THREADS sig pic. Not sure what to do. Not even sure if the email is legit. 🙁

That is terrible. 🙁 I am guessing you have e-mailed the hosting site and asked them?

I dont want to login to the my account. I think the site might have been hacked and the email is a phishing scam to get people to login and acess their accounts. The website for the company itself shows no signs of closing down. No message or anything.

Photobucket has a free version.You have to deal with adds however. If worsy comes to worst,I can upload the stuff onto my pay version,send you the links,then you can use them taht way. 🙂

It seems there is a lot of hacking or phishing going on. For some reason,I keep getting e-mails from youtube on my yahoo mail account. I log into youtube from my gmail account. Plus,youtube has my gmail addy.

This looks like it might be legitimate but I dont want to act on it right away. If I wait though all 60 Mb of data I uploaded to the site will be lost. If I do transfer the site to where they say I still have to pay more money. Either way I am getting screwed. 🙁

I would give it one more day maybe. Then if you can,copy all the data to a computer,that way the data is backed up. 🙂

That is not the problem sadly. 🙁 I have a copy of the data the problem is loading back up to a new server which could likely take a week or more with a dial up connection 🙁

To me,it does sound like a scam.I think the hosting site would have given a longer/earlier warning that they were shutting down.

Yea it is strange. What is even stranger is the company that is supposedly willing to take old clients from the company going bankrupt is itself bankrupt and is looking to reopen.

Yea I know. LOL The email said their CEO is AWOL and not taking refusing all emails. Not sure why you need to shut the company down then. Companies change CEOs all the time.
