I think I found out what orchid tree we have out in front of our house its a Bauhinia purpurea I think.

Yea its pretty rare too. A person came by and asked for cuttings. He said it grows in Mexico too and the leaves have medicinal value. The tree makes tons of seeds I am thinking of collecting them. Who knows might be able to sell them. I know a guy I get my rocks from he use to sell cactus. I am going to talk to him. 😀

They are very cute. A bit aggressive though. We had a picture of a flower in the garrage and one hummingbird kept going after it. Of course he did not get any nectar so was pissed but he chased us off if we got to close to the picture LOL
