I am thinking of getting an e-reader specifically a Kindle but I dont know if I need a fast internet connection to really be able to use it. :shrug:
 
I don't have a Kindle so I don't know. I have a Nook which requires WiFi to be used as a browser. It can be used as a reader anywhere.

Kindle is the same if you can find a WiFi spot. I am not sure if I have a WiFi spot near my house. If I dont then its rather useless. 🙁

What I do is buy half a dozen books when I'm in a WiFi spot, such as the Amtrak station. Then it takes me a long time to read them all. I don't have WiFi at home, either.

My Nook automatically searches for any WiFi network if you ask it to do so. But free ones are generally in stores such as Starbucks or Best Buy or Barnes & Noble.

Sadly the nearest store like that too me is about 12 miles away. Not too convenient. 🙁
