The urge to purge..

I have lurked and seen other post similar messages. Didn't think it would happen to me...

I've spent a lot more money than Id care to admit on videos/clips, and they just don't do anything for me any more. Thinking about dragging the entire folder into the recycle bin.

Has anyone else purged their collection - and then regretted it later?

Yes. Right before I got married my then fiancee told me that since she was willing to play and do what ever I wanted within the fetish I should not need my collection of VHS tapes and stuff from the early days of the internet, ASFT and AMT. So in 1999 I purged all I had, dumped tapes and all.

It took me the last 3 years to regain my stories, barefoot celeb pics, early clips from places no longer existent. And there is still a lot I can not find and are gone forever.

So my next wife will understand that I will just put all the files into a sources such as flash drives or whatever and keep them off main systems if she prefers...but I won't purge again.

I "weed the garden" so to speak, going through now and then and deleting files I've saved for no real reason, or preview clips for long-ago videos I wasn't a huge fan of.

In terms of the bulk of my content, though, it's still here. I taught myself some computer mechanics to save it from my last blow-up, so its important. 🙂

I thought this was going to be a discussion on tickling and bulimia!
I still have a stack of old VHS tapes gathering dust in the closet, but I stopped collecting electronic media years ago. There’s too much new material out there with the quality steadily increasing to be bothered with archiving anything too old.

I'm weeding out a bunch of clips at the moment as well. I'm only keeping the longer ones of decent quality that I have.

What I am also getting ready to do is get rid of a cap load of clips I put on CD's that I don't want anymore. That along with a couple of magazines and a VCR tape.

Anyone in Canada interested in it? Just let me knw in a private message and we'll talk. No charge either. While I don't want the stuff anymore, I don't wanna just throw it out either. With the hassles I've had getting and sending across the border, I 'refuse' to send this anywhere but inside the country! It's only tickling, but the ones at Customs sure get picky over stuff.

The OP didn't talk about purging because his wife doesn't like his collection of vids.

My advice: don't purge. You might regret it later.
Just put them in a folder and save them.

I purged once, during my first marriage. My wife at the time and I were starting to go through our rough bouts, and I was also getting ready to deploy. She was regularly letting people come over to use the computer for Kazaa purposes, and I didn't trust or like these people. Since I didn't know how simple the divorce laws in North Carolina were, and I was also working for Uncle Sam, who likes to babysit his own, I deleted all my shit to avoid unnecessary evidence/witness accounts of my personal interests. Back then, my tastes weren't as defined, and I had a lot of crappy clips I don't regret losing.
