Agreed. Though based on what I heard about his exit interview (haven't seen it), it sounds like "Daniel Bryan" is gone, but perhaps Bryan Danielson will be back. Perhaps the name change will magically turn his luck around.

EDIT: Having now gone and seen the interview, allow me to change my "perhaps" to a "definitely". Bryan Danielson will debut on Smackdown, most likely, in the next few weeks, and tear shit up. And I mean that in the most positive of connotations. But yes, he will be awesome, and I will have a reason to watch WWE again (now that they postponed Edge / Christian, and Santino Marella only gets 2 minutes of air time)

BTW, if Low-Ki / Senshi / Kaval is not on the next NXT, I will be terribly terribly vexed.
 
Always good to tune into Smackdown to watch Kofi Kingston v. Christian for the IC title, only to see Drew McIntyre "get a handtyped letter" giving him the belt back.

This is why I stopped watching wrestling regularly in the first place...

Kaval is injured, so maybe he won't participate to NXT 2. :bat:
Besides, according to rumors, WWE didn't put Kaval in NXT 1 because they didn't want 2 indy stars in the same season.

I find it a little ridiculous that both Kaval and Danielson aren't on WWE programming anyway. NXT doesn't seem to be the proper showcase of their talents.

The idea was interesting at the beginning, but WWE itself spoilt it.
NXT became American Gladiators with pro wrestlers.
 
I lost interest very early on, when it was obvious they were booking Bryan Danielson to lose each and every match. I enjoy a lot of the talent (Wade Barrett is good, and I hope to God they do a Skip Sheffield / William Regal comedy angle), but I don't watch.
 
Just saw on WWE.com that Carlito has been released for violating the Wellness Program. Not a huge deal, though it did look like he was going to be part of the "Fortunate Sons" stable. Wonder what they'll do with Primo. . .

Orlando Colon (Carlito's and Primo's cousin) wrestles in FCW. Maybe they'll put Primo with him.

And that's complete fucking bullshit. How many times has Randy Orton fucked up on the Wellness Policy? But because he's McMahon's meal-ticket, they look the other way.

How many times as McMahon's golden-boy Hogan fucked up? How many stars are in the sky?

So the moral of the story is if you fuck up and are a mid-carder or lower, your ass is canned. But if you're main event status, they will look the other way.

You're absolutely right. It happens in all walks of life. If you can make someone enough money, you can get away with just about anything. C'est la vie.

From what I've read, he showed up to Raw all messed up, and then refused to admit he had a problem or go to rehab. He made it real easy on them to cut some money off their payroll without hurting the overall product.

He is. He's also helping to carry the company, which is not what Carlito did.

Look, I would love, love, LOVE to be able to see them switch places. I think Orton is a prick, and Carlito was mismanaged. However, its a business, and they could make an example out of Carlito without causing the product much trouble. They even won't lose anything on NXT, since Carlito's rookie is eliminated.

It's hard to prove what you can do when the Kliqu has the bosses daughter in it's back pocket. No matter what anybody in the WWE does they aren't going to get a shot unless they are sucking up to Triple H, or at least in his circle of "friends". Carlito is a 2nd Generation performer and as I remember very entertaining in the ring and on the mic, and that... that's cool.

Another thing, does it really make sense to let the guys you build your company around act as reckless as the want. What if Orton goes out and parties like an idiot and gets into a fight with some locals. He could get hurt or even killed if somebody pulls a knife or gun. If anything McMahon should come down harder on the top guys to set the example for the lower card. The person he should harp on the most is Triple H because it's his son-in-law, and if the locker room sees him come down on Trips then they know he will bust on anybody.

If I remember right, the wellness policy was brought in right after Eddie Guerrero died. It was a load of shit then, and it's a load of shit now. If it isn't enforced on everybody, then it isn't going to work.

I never thought I would say this about Bret Hart, but that is the stupidest thing since David Arquette was WCW World Champion.

Bret Hart at least has SOME credibility in a wrestling ring, unlike David Arquette.

But it is dumb. Give a title to a guy who can't wrestle. Must have been part of his contract.
 
It'd be a clever way to phase out the U.S. championship. Don't get me wrong, that title has a great WCW history, and I certainly don't hate the colors of Old Glory, but the current U.S. title is UGLY.
 
Agreed, but doesn't there need to be more than just the World title on Raw? The tag belts are already unified, will we have an IC champ that goes on both brands as well?
