This is a crime for which I can find no equal!

While I do agree that overly skinny people in advertisements send out the wrong message, I don't think she has any right complain. When you become a model you're entering a career based entirely around superficiality. If she didn't specifically outline her conditions for editing the photos beforehand, then they've got the right to do whatever they want to make them more marketable.
 
The fact that she is looked upon as a "plus sized model" is a sad commentary in and of itself. :disgust:
 
While I find that morally this act is rather repugnant and tasteless, I imagine that when models take a job, they sign a lot of paperwork saying that the photographer and/or company own those images and can do what they want with them.

I don't agree that she has 'no right to complain,' if she's just defending her character and lamenting the state of the industry, though.

But the long and short of it is that this wasn't a crime at all.
 
The whole point of a plus-sized model is NOT to look as thin as other girls.

Besides...why in hell would she need thinned? She looked better in the original.

Rita Heyworth and Marylin Monroe would qualify as plus sized today. Just sayin...

The difference between the pictures is almost nonexistent. I wouldn't have even noticed.

That said, she has a right to complain because she was deceived, but she doesn't have a legal foot to stand on. Them's the breaks. All fashion photos are retouched...blemishes removed, etc.
 
Wow, she is beautiful. And the change is actually practically unnoticeable unless put side by side.
 
Forgive me...but did they just say that she's a size 10 "full-figured plus size" model? The only thing that's bigger than normal on that girl is her eyebrows - yikes.
 
She looks good in both, really... From the neck down at least. That eye makeup is awful.
 
I see the model's point. Good for her! And I dig her eyebrows.
