OK, I know everyone talks a lot about meeting people in the community to share play with. That's cool. We've done that too. However, that's not the topic of this thread. 😛
What I'm interested in is how many people are there among us, who happen to be into tickling, who have met others in the community and just clicked as friends? For instance...Drew and I connected with the Venrays simply because we'd met them here and decided it would be cool to meet in person. We share conversation about our fav kink. But, there's much more to our friendship. We've found other things we have in common. We get together on a regular basis...but not necessarily for play. We have dinner, see movies, do concerts, etc. And we genuinely care about what's happening with the others lives. Yes, tickling does play a role in our friendship. But, it's just there. It isn't a central focus.
With all of the talk there's been over time about taking tickling into the mainstream, I think true friendships like this that happen to include tickling is one way to prove that we ARE mainstream in some way. If WE don't limit ourselves to play and leave out other aspects of who we are, maybe others will see that we're normal people who simply happen to love tickling...rather than tickle freaks with no other life. Just a thought that's been floating in my head. I'd love to hear what others think.

PS - I know there will be those who say "That's not what I mean by mainstream." That's cool. I accept that. Let's stick with what I've asked for this particular thread, though. 😉
