Odd...do you even read these posts? You just seem to ramble on for several paragraphes.
Uh, yeah.... I was the one that read Lime's post "Since none of us were carded, weve decided to call liquor control and report them for serving underage persons." and you were all like "Well who was underage?" and I was all like "Well, from the context it sounds like Lime's friends." and you were all like "I need more evidence than that." and I was all like "Dude." So there's PROOF I read these posts.
Lime had money and went to a service-related business and was served improperly in relation to what she (and the others around her) might consider the standard of service based on her past experiences as a consumer. Being in a service-related business, she simply tipped what could be considered customary when one receives sub-par service; yet she took the extra step to inform agents of the establishment in why the service didn't meet expectations and why the tip was therefore so low. If acted upon, this information could in the future bring about better service and, in consequence, generate better tips (while, in actuality, there is no good reason to tip sub-par service). When Limeoutsider's points were brought to the attention of the person in the highest position of authority responsible for the running of the establishment her concerns were disregarded.
Having both received bad service and then delt the indignity of being dismissed as a consumer - while the establishment had no qualms about taking the group's money in their commission of the sub-standard service - Limeoutsider thought in an abstract way and effectively killed 2 birds with one bungstone. Enjoying the dark, but human, feeling of revenge upon those whom she interpreted of wronging within the goings-on of her normal life - while doing it in a legally responsible way, realizing that there was some legal misbehavior on the part of some in her party- Lime brought to the attention of the authorities who regulate this specific service-industry establishment the fact that the business was not conducting its affairs in agreement with local laws.
And if in fact my reading of the context of Lime's post was in error, and none of the members of her party were underage, it is still entirely possible that the establishment is indeed serving underage drinkers, as demonstrated by the business's conduct. They are accepting the payment of the customers for certain services while showing no interest that the services provided are up to the consumer's standard of expectation - but at the same time paying a poor wage to it's employees, maximizing the profit margin at any cost, it would appear. As was pointed out by TMF members other than me, "carding" should have been done. Certainly, by doing this Limeoutsider may have acted in a petty way, but as a consumer myself it does seem that she may have been wronged, and this act of smallness might still yield quite positive results, even if that was not the original intent. Silver linings, you see. What's to miss in these posts?
While it may "seem" I just ramble, without using the vile, cyber canned-laughter of the emoticon device, what's stoppin' you from enjoying the scenery along the ride?
