From a now defunct site called Ten Hottest Girls/Guys. It was posted there about maybe 2 1/2 to 4 years ago. It's similar to the faceparty site where people create a photofile and others vote who looks the best.

oh i get it DK and tron....youre saying that "she" took a pic from another site and you actually have proof of it...good work guys...i just dont see why people cant be who they are on here, and the teenagers and the people F'ing around just stay off here and leave this place to the honest people....a lot of people on here dont like me and thats fine....but at least i am who i say i am and have been for the two years ive been on here...

apparently this doesnt bother iggy, i guess thats his choice.

to be fair, iggy gave his .02 before darkknight even found the picture on that site.
 
aphrael, i know he did. im merely pointing out that in his post he said he didnt care if that was her in that picture. im just illustrating that some people on here care very much that people are honest, and some do not. i prefer honesty every time.
 
so, is it the general idea now that Katie's picture is not a picture of the real her? is that what's being said? even though there is no proof either way if it is or isn't, generally when you find the same photo out there on the web, generally thats a good sign that there is some dishonesty going on. and i understand that some (many) people aren't thrilled about showing their real picture on the forum. thats totally understandable. but maybe its best to just not show any photo at all, rather than show a picture of someone else?
 
...because speaking for myself, i'd like Katie for whoever she is since she loves tickling. i'd like her for whoever she is as long as she's up front, honest and just is being herself. no pictures needed.
 
i agree tib, but if you ARE going to provide your picture, i think you shold provide a real picture, or dont provide one. why be ashamed of yourself?

This website condoned someone trying to steal my friends pic. I find it ODD they put the burden of proof on HER.
katie took that pic from another site. I didn't post an opinion, I just posted a fact is all. It had nothing to do with her looks or claims. There are plenty of great looking gals here who I FULLY believe posted their own pics for our enjoyment. I base that on never seeing their pic anywhere else.
Two people (including me) say they saw that pic elsewhere under different identities. Seems pretty obvious to me...
Sorry if I popped anyones bubbles or broke into their spank banks.

Personally I believe in honesty. It seems to have worked well for me.

I'll have to admit that my first post in this thread is confusing, and it really did not come out the way I intended it to come out. In my defense I wrote it when I had the flu, but I should have been more clear and blah...blah...blah. What I meant to say was when I first saw this picture I had doubts if it was real, but my doubts were soley based on the fact that this was attractive young lady on webcam, and this struck me as just being silly. So what I was saying is just give the lady the benefit of the doubt and consider her real. I do not promote idenity theft, and I posted this later in the thread. It was deleted. I also believe that if you make an accusation against someone you have to back it up with proof. Oh well.

If you're gonna post a picture you'd damn well better be able to prove it's you. Especially when two other people have doubts.

We condoned nothing. An accusation was made. In this case a user said that someone they knew had thier image stolen and used here. No proof was produced to back this claim by the user who made it. In the case discussed, we requested a link to the website the images came from, none was produced. Failing that, we asked the person claiming ID theft to provide some other images of themselves so we could confirm ID that way, again no images were produced.

Why did we do this? The user whom the theft was being claimed upon produced THREE images, all different times and places, they supported their side. The accuser gave me zip.

We asked both sides to make thier case. One did, the other did not. Who am I to believe? To this day I have no idea. All three images could have been stolen from a personal site. But I had no basis for comparison to know that. So no action was taken.

Here is our policy on ID theft. We don't like it.

But it's almost imposible to prove. It's too damned easy to convincingly steal an ID on the web. Good luck proving things either way.

However, that said: If you must make a claim that some one is doing it, provide solid support (in the forum of links to where the image came from). We will also ask the other side of the story from the person accused.

It's the web folks. Proving anythign about ID is next to impossible (for example in this Katie case, perhaps the image was stolen from her to the site, and not vice versa) who knows?

Take things on the web with a grain of salt. But for gosh sakes, don't waste too much of your life worrying about them.

I was struck by the irony of the situation that we have accusations of misrepresentation on katiebug's part but in the same thread we have posts from a guy called Iggy Pop with a picture of the singer in his sig.

Of course no-one would expect this to be the real Iggy Pop. If the real Iggy Pop did come here he wouldn't use his real name...or would he?

I think this must be a double bluff and Iggy Pop really is Iggy Pop and not just a fan using his idol's moniker as a username.

Mr Pop - if you are reading this, I would just like to say I really enjoyed Lust for Life and the song you did for the Repoman soundtrack.

I do agree that honesty is deff needded from all, but what was done was done. I am without a doubt that katiebug(the real one) is as beautiful if not more beautiful than the the pic she has. And ya never know, she coulda had a good reason for the coverup pic. Oh well, life be life.
 
This is why I liked the 'Occupation' thread....everybody ante'd up with who they are. I think that a lot of people who use fake monikers, pics, profiles, etc., are the kind of people who sit alone at home every weekend. But I digress....
