A ring that my grandmother owned. She never took it off since they day it was given to her. It was given to her by my uncle (who bought it with his very first paycheck) because she never bought anything for herself (my grandfather walked out on his family and left my grandmother alone to raise five children so any money she made went to bills and her kids). She passed away from Lou Gehrig's disease and my asshole aunt took the ring from her when she was in the hospital and was unable to talk. Obviously my uncle got the ring back and gave it to me as a gift on my confirmation day (he's my Godfather). Needless to say, this ring is priceless and if I don't have a daughter to pass it down to in my lifetime, it will be given to my niece.

it's hard to choose between two, so i'll give ya both:

1. i stole this payback prank after having it pulled on me. i stole all of a friend's underwear and put them in the freezer. then i left a series of 10 clues in the form of riddles scattered about the house and outdoors. she had to run to and fro searching for the next clue by filling in the last word of the riddle that led her to the location of the next clue until the final riddle led her to the freezer.

2. payback for pranking me: in college, i lived for a year in a catholic commune with 10 other college students--8 guys and 2 gals. i came home after a weekend away to find that the guys had moved all my bedroom furniture out on the front lawn and set it up exactly as my bedroom was furnished. it was funny but payback's a bitch. i got them back by gathering all the alarm clocks in the house and hiding them in the boy's bedrooms so that they would go off every 20 minutes or so starting at 3 am. i had about a dozen alarm clocks, so just as they would get back to sleep, another would go off.

once you have so many feathers, you need a headdress to hold them, so i'd create a series of headdresses for x number of feathers. of course, once you reach 200 feathers like mils has, he would earn a chief's headdress.

my great aunt was in the barnum circus during the depression and was an acrobatist, including standing astride two galloping horses, balancing and riding with one foot on each of their backs (i even have a picture as proof).

being from new orleans, my family literally lost everything in katrina that they didn't take with them, 6 households worth of stuff. living in boston, i'm the only one who has anything left. i'll probably pass it all along to my niece and nephew, including my childhood dresser from the late 60's, a hand made quilt made by my great grandmother who died just before i was born in 1964, beaded and crocheted christmas ornaments made by my grandmother in the 70's, a box of old and uncirculated coins that my grandmother collected for her grand-kids in the 70's that i ended up with because everyone else would have spent them, my ceramic piggy bank that my great grandmother and grandmother filled with buffalo head nickles and silver dimes before i was born and some childhood jewelry, including a diamond necklace my godfather gave me when i was about 4. it's sad but that's pretty much all that's left to pass down other than some old photos that i've been scanning and posting on facebook for my family and classmates who lost everything.

Well, I don't plan on having children...only cats. Haha! But if I did have children, I guess I'd tell them that no matter what life may throw at them in the future, just try to be happy. And above all, be your own best friend...if you don't love yourself first, you'll never be able to love and accept love from other people. 🙂

Well, since I only discovered Xena recently, I'd have to say that my childhood hero was a cartoon character from Dragon Ball Z by the name of Gohan. I loved that kid so much that I wanted to be a Super Saiyan when I got older. Nope, not a princess...Super Saiyan! Gee, how dyke-ey is that? 😛

-Most of the time I only play pranks on my sisters. One of them really hates pickles. The smell, the way they look, the way they taste. We hid a ton of pickles in her room. One inside a shoe, one in a drawer, under her mattress, and even poured out her perfume and replaced it with pickle juice. It was awesome.

Toilet papering Hudson Leick's (Callisto from Xena) car while she was at a meditation retreat in Rhode Island when I was 22. Wasn't my idea but I helped.

A great uncle of mine was a member of the infamous Black and Tans regiment and was torn apart by an angry Irish mob.

This is kinda silly. My dad used to read me a few pages of the Hobbit as bedtime stories when I was a kid, but any copy of the Tolkien books he gave me, he would write all over. He'd been a codebreaker for the U.S. Navy and liked to decode the dwarven runes on the maps. So I bought the expensive leatherbound editions of the lord of the rings and the hobbit and have been taking care of them in the hopes that I can give them to future generations.

This is a long list. One of my personal favorites is the time my friend Adam and I managed to convince another friend of ours that the song "Tiny Dancer" was really about Tony Danza. Our friend got in the car just as the song was beginning, and by the time it got to the first chorus we totally had him hooked, so we just belted out "HOLD ME CLOSER TONY DANZA" and he totally bought it. He may still believe it hahaha. Good times 🙂

My great grandfather was an opera singer.

Eh, I am too lazy to explain all the more complicated pranks I've pulled, but a lot of my friends tend to end up with shit drawn on their face without knowing it. Good times when you walk around on town and they go "see that girl staring at me? She's totally checking me out!"

Apparently I belong to the same family tree as Raoul Wallenberg, and that guy is fucking badass! Oh and they sell post cards in northern Sweden of my great great great something grandfather rowing around in a small boat together with the king. There's more, but I won't write an essay. 😛

5.) What is one thing you own that you would like to pass on to your children or grandchildren? Why?
Don't really own any object like that. Maybe our house? This is a great and safe place to both live and grow up, and it's pretty "central" and close to everything you could possibly think of. I could totally see my family living here for generations to come!

Peter Forsberg. Grew up watching him play hockey, and I have an extremely deep respect for all that he has done off the ice as well. If he stars in a commercial he takes the pay and gives every single penny to charity. He raises money every year for handicapped and really sick children, and another time he paid plane tickets for every kid in his mother clubs youth team and brought them to America so they could watch an NHL game live. Furthermore he is always humble and tones down the things that he does; he doesn't expect a reward for it, or for people to "respect" him. Oh, and he won Sweden an olympic gold in hockey back in '94, and he stole the Art Ross from Naslund, which is absolutely hillarious. Forsberg is the closest thing I have to a God!

I can't remember. I was with her best friend from high school and a woman named Anita who was the head of the charity we were doing stuff for at the time. We were all there at a retreat with a woman named Ammachi who is a Hindu religious avatar. We were leaving to go back to the hotel while Hudson was staying in the compound. It was Anita's idea so if there was any flack for it she woulda gotten it, but that was just her and she did stuff like that all the time. Only major thing I have is that my grandmother was a Allied Doctor during World War II and did see the front lines when Holland was occupied.

I am actually not sure... best thing I own would be my copy of the Disney Pixar movie UP because I think it is the perfect movie to watch with your family because of it's heartwarming nature and life lessons: like always moving forward and not getting stuck in the past.

My grandfather, who had a stroke before I was born. I remember him trying so hard to talk but could not due to the stroke. I figured I would never get to hear him talk once he passed away but about 2 years ago my mom found a video of her wedding to my dad and I saw him talk on that video for the first time. It's because of him wanting a better life for his wife and 5 duaghters, one of whom was my mom, that I am here today.
