Villians you can't help but like

Count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate Events(Even though he tries not to be, he still is funny.) and Pennywise from IT.

Ooh. Good ones! For more great video game villains- I'll let someone else field the Kefka or Luca Blight debate as they could arguably even beat out Sephiroth for best VG villain of all time.

Most of the PPG villains are awesome, especially Him and Mojo Jojo- though no episode exemplifies that better than say.... Meet the Beat Alls.

Cos, I had forgotten about Gargoyles

All the antagonists on that show rocked. Xanatos, the "self made man" was a heartless, manipulative SOB when he first was revealed as a villain. He proved not to have changed too much initially, though he was ultimately a dynamic character.

Demonia was also well rounded. An immortal with a genocidal hatred for all humans, she was pitiable even at her worst. With her was MacBeth, with his driven back story and the sense of honor he carried in combat.

Also a word should go out for Puck, who with all his mischief and pranks has one of the coolest secrets out of any character on the show.

Also:

Megabyte and Hexidecimal from Reboot. Megabyte's voice rocks and puts even Xanatos' to shame, he has a wonderful mixture of brain and braun, a whole army at his back, and a ruthless cunning and will to survive.

Hex is batshit crazy and nearly all powerful in her own little corner of Mainframe known as Lost Angles. She is without a doubt, a very fun character, who while a villain, comes around in the end.

Finally...

Cobra Commander.

His screaching voice, hidden face, and mad plans to take over the world are only matched by his temper and over confidence.

I think one of his best moments was one where he was hypnotizing people and the Joes used a dartboard with his picture on it to undo the effects with a broadcast. He pulls out a gun when the Joes start thumbing their noses at him and shrieks, "That'sss disgustiiiing!" then blasts the screeen.

Dr. Octavius from Spiderman II

Picard's clone from whatever the last Star Trek movie was (sorry my memory is bad)

Lot's of good villains mentioned. Personally, my favorite villain was always Oroku Saki, the Shredder, from the ninja turtles.
"Can anybody tell me who or what he is?"
"I don't know, but I bet he never has to look for a can opener."

The Egyptian god, Seth. Badass fothermucka, and arch-enemy of the dude in my dig banner.

Had another thought

Stewie from "Family Guy." If the series has a "villian" he's it.

"You are my eyes..and my ears. Together..we will find and punish these freaks. These...TURTLES!"

"You............Now,I will finish...WHAT I BEGAN WITH YOUR EAR!!!"

Yeah, the movie version was the best Shredder ...the orginal cartoon one could be whiny sometimes (how the hell did someone who whines to Krang like him get to be a ninja master? 🙄 ) and the new cartoon version was alright ...for a little while.

From movies:

Jet Li's character from Lethal Weapon 4. He gives new meaning to the term "badass." The final fight of the movie features Mel Gibson and Danny Glover teaming up to take on Jet Li... and THEY seem like the severe underdogs.

Magneto, from the X-Men films, played by Sir Ian McKellen. Before seeing the first X-Men movie, I had the awful feeling that they were going to utterly butcher the (fantastic) comic book... Boy was I wrong. Magneto's escape from a plastic prison in X-2 is particularly kick-ass.

Bolo, from "Enter the Dragon, "played by Bolo "Chinese Hercules" Yeung. This guy was legitimately SCARY.

From video games:

Kefka, from Final Fantasy III: The walking, talking embodiment of "insane and reveling in it" evil. Also had some of the best lines in video game history.

Heihachi Mishima, from the "Tekken" series: An 80 year old man who can easily hang with the best fighters in the world. A multi-billionaire who seeks world domination for (what he sees as) the good of humanity. What more could you ask for?

Wasn't that guy also in Double Impact and Bloodsport?

Ravenous

Anyone remember the character "Colqhoun" (played by Robert Carlyle) from the movie Ravenous. He's cold ,calculating, and cannabalistic.
Kind of like Hannibal with a civil war twist.

Yep. He was pretty good in Bloodsport, but the rest of that movie was a steaming bowl of dog turds. By the time that Double Impact was filmed he was getting a bit long in the tooth, if you know what I mean...

Some of mine were already mentioned. Here's some others I love to hate:

Dr. Phibes
Fu Manchu
Tim Curry's demonic character in Legend
"The Monkey Man" in ZFX's As Darkness Falls
Dr. Marco, the head of a clan of vampires in the Filipino horror Blood Drinkers

Hans Gruber from Die Hard 1. Alan Rickman was so good I believe he was nominated for an Oscar for it, but I could be wrong.

" I wanted this to be professional. Efficient, adroit, cooperative, not a lot to ask. Alas, your Mr. Takagi did not see it that way, so he won't be joining us for the rest of his life."

From TV: Eustice Bagg from Courage the Cowardly Dog. He was an asshole who usually repeated the smae things, but he was so cool.

From TV: Mojo Jojo from The PowerPuff Girls. Voiced by the same SAn Francisco DJ who did the voice for the killer in the Scream movies. The guy cn't say even the simplest thing without going on and on about it:

"That's all just well enough, because in reality there is only room enough in this world for one Mojo Jojo. One shall be the number of Mojo Jojos in the world, and the number of Mojo Jojos in the world shall be one. Two Mojo Jojos is too many, and three is right out. So the only Mojo Jojo there is room for in the world shall be me."

"The city of Townsville. I hate you. I do not enjoy the fact that three superhero female children take up residence in you. And by hurting me and forcing me to dwell in one of your correctional facilities, these mutant infant girls prevent me from obtaining political control of you."

"Excuse me sir, but can you direct me to the location of where I can locate some eggs for I would like to purchase them so that I can take them home with me and I can eat them today. [pause] And maybe tomorrow."

"Hey you kids, get out of my moat, it was not meant to be played in. I must remember to destroy those kids after my breakfast has been eaten."

"You've got to be kidding. I'm wet, I'm naked, your sister is wearing my clothes and this is all part of some diabolical plan to rule the world as a soggy chimp in my birthday suit?"

"I swear that today is the day that I will develop a plan so diabolical and evil that I will crush the Powerpuff Girls. But first... I must attend to the dishes that I have soiled with the food that I have eaten."

Bolo also shows up in this utterly insane(and wildly entertaining) chop-socky flick called Boxer's Omen. The first five minutes of this thing are more entertaining than most entire movies out of Hollywood of late.

I also loved Alan Rickman in Diehard.I still smile everytime he appears in The "Harry Potter" Films as there's alittle bit of Hans Gruber in that role of "Professor Snape" as well.

For real evil : Gotta love Andy Robinson as Scorpio in the first Dirty Harry Film.

Darth Sold Out..

And ended up being the ultimate pussy.

I'd have to say Deacon Frost in Blade.

Blue Duck in Lonesome Dove.

Kahn, in Star Trek.

Oh God, how could I have forgotten him??? Every time I play Knockout Kings I create my character so he's that size, appearance and name! lol

My favourite film quote...

I must break you.

Batman the movie:

jack nicholsan as the joker

Cowboy bebop the anime:

Vicious

video game:

Kefka from ff6(3 in the u.s.)

Agent Smith from the Matrix. But only Matrix and Matrix Reloaded. In Matrix Revolutions they just made him silly IMO. Well the whole movie was silly.

And I don't know if he counts as a villain because he spent most of DBZ as a good guy, but Vegeta. Actually, for most of DBZ Vegeta was neither good guy nor bad guy really, but was a good guy by default because he fought bad guys.

And one more: The Macho Man Randy Savage, when he first came to the WWF in the mid 80s. I don't know if that had ever happened in pro wrestling before: a bad guy who was so cool you couldnt help but like him. Oooooh yeah!!!

To add to my original post in this thread last year....

ANY villian played by Christopher Walken. Hell, Christopher Walken himself, in real life, qualifies for this if you ask me. Even Lazzy says if he ever heard his voice alone in a dark alley, he'd crap his pants right then and there...LOL

Freddy Krueger. Nuff said.

If we're discussing video games, then I gotta go with good ol' sadistic "Carno" from the first Phantasmagoria game. UBER creepy.

Mimi 🙂
