Week#21-Super Bowl Sunday

I promise that I will post the standings from 2 weeks ago. Time has gotten completely away from me. I hope everyone enjoyed this season. I do welcome comments on how to improve this Pool. We do not give anything away, it is more for pride and let everyone know that your knowledge of football was better than anyone else that particular year. This here completes my third season running this Pool. I do hope everyone feels challenged. You really have to know your football. Let's see more people compete next season.

Super Bowl XLIII

Pittsburgh Steelers -6 1/2 vs. Arizona Cardinals @ Tampa Bay,Fla ( NBC ) --- I think all of the Steelers fans are going to be surprised by this game. The fans of the Steelers have acted like the Cardinals don't belong. Well here is a little reminder: The Patriots and their fans ( right Maniac ) treated the Giants last year like they didn't even belong in the same state as the Pats nevermind on the same field. What happened???

The Cardinals are playing a MUCH better defense. If Hines Ward is hurt can he stretch the field for the Steelers??? The Steelers are an EXCELLENT defense. Offensively they are a good team. But lets remember that the last time the Steelers went to the Super Bowl Big Ben did not play well. Not saying that it will happen like that again but Kurt Warner has played this game twice and played well. Winning once and losing once.

The Cardinals are a dynamic offensive team. The Steelers are a dynamic defensive team. What is going to give???

This will be a close game. Much closer than 6 1/2 points ( in my opinion ). I will say that the final score of this game will be Cardinals 23- Steelers 21. Neil Rackers will be the MVP because he will hit at least 4 FG's.

Man, did I labor over this pick. Every single bit of conventional wisdom says Pittsburgh.

Which is why I'm going with Arizona.

It's been a weird fuckin' year. Why change it in the Super Bowl? I think it's gonna be close, closer than the 6 1/2 point spread. SHould Pittsburgh win, they'll do it with a late-game turnover to seal it in a close one.

I just don't think the blitz is going to work against Arizona. IF Arizona plays like they have in the playoffs so far. If not, they're toast.

So, all things considered, including X factors, I'm gonna take the bite and go with the underdog.

Arizona, baby.

I don't know how to pick up the radio station to be honest with you. I will need to know your pick so I have an idea what it is. I know what will Slacker pick. I would know that even before he picked it.

I want the Steelers to win, because I like playing defense. That said, I believe the Arizona (Caution May Contain Football Like Substance) Cardinals will pull off the upset. And since I think Arizona will win, I'll gladly take the points.
