I recently joined the Ok Cupid site, mostly to take the numerous and varied surveys and tests available. In doing so, I answered enough questions to qualify as a "question submitter"; was able to propose questions for prospective romantic matches. My first proposed question: "Are you ticklish"? (a very simple question many non-ticklers ask their significant other; I remember several of sis's boyfriends asking her if she was ticklish as she grew up).
To me, and I theorize many here.....that would be a valid and extremely important question for any prospective soulmate, boy/girlfriend, or spouse. Unfortunately, my proposed question was roundly denied by Ok Cupid's staff and voting members. Among the less than nice comments offered in critisizm were "tickling? who cares about tickling their significant other"?; "tickling is uninteresting....not enough OK Cupid members can relate"; and "tickling is silly; boring...who cares"? 🙁
I also recieved a couple comments which were even nastier; from completely classless "gutter trash" who called me "perverted" for daring ask the question I'm so angry, I'm strongly considering deleting my Ok Cupid profile and never visiting the site again. I proposed a very simple; and I believe valid question for anyone seeking a relationship online. Once again, I leaned just how hypocritical, narrow minded, and judgemental most folks who don't enjoy tickling are.
