You can be all stealthy and stuff outdoors in your chosen terrain. You can also learn the trap skills. But no backstab for you as a ranger. Have you created a monster in yourself with D&D? 🙂

ANYTIME!!! 😀 I want to learn from a lot of different people so I can find the way I like best. And with your experience and my enthusiastic air-headedness they will be the most fantastic characters EVAR.

EDIT: Stay away from psionics. While powerful, they can be confusing as hell. Unless they simplified them in 4th edition.

Man I don't even know what edition we're doing. They told me they have the original books from when they were actually cheap to buy so I think I'm working with 1. Is this a bad thing...?

The way I see it, a geek is super into knowledge/science/math, etc.

A dork is someone who gets a little too carried away liking TV shows, pop culture etc. (Commonly found dressing as Obi Wan at conventions.)

A spaz is someone who is energetic, but puts that energy into being fucking annoying.

I LOVE to read. Comic books and graphic novels are my preferred reading choice, but I devour everything really, as long as I find it interesting. And that's just plain ol' eclectic. LOL

Since you're a beginner, 1st edition is fine. You're limited on class and races, but it's much easier to understand. We got to the point where we figured out how to combine 1st, 2nd and 3rd edition, which meant, better treasure, more monsters, more classes and more races. But the foundation for all our campaigns was 1st edition. Any more questions for me in your "Ask Lily" thread? :bwahaha:
 
You need to find some people who play Horde. . . ahem. . . Not that I know anyone. . .

LOL LOTS! GET USED TO IT!! So does a DM have to pre-design the whole thing BEFORE you begin gameplay? Or can they design a bit of it and the overall idea, and keep adding things do it as you go? I'm supposed to go play next weekend, and I really don't think between a few days ago and this coming Friday he's going to be creating some mind-blowing gameplay.

Why is the 1st edition easier to understand? Just because there are less classes and races?

Well, my dad needs me to come over so that I will type some things for him and do things other people in the household are perfectly capable of. But seemingly it's better that I drive the 40-some minutes to their house to do it instead.
