After about a month long hiatus following our house fire, Lazarus and I are back online...well, part time, anyway. Things are still crazy and unorganized and stressful as can be around here. We're still trying to get settled into our new place, and get a few issues resolved before we can be as active as we once were (not having a refridgerator for the past 3 weeks has been a real joy, let me tell you. We're still working on that issue). But I know I promised some of you that I would post right away when we got the internet hooked back up, so here I am!

Hopefully things will settle down soon and I'll be able to devote my time back online as I had before. But it will likely be a few weeks yet until that happens. In the meantime, I can be reached through PM here on the forum. My old email address that many of you have, and that can be obtained through the forum here is no longer valid. In fact, if any of you tried to email me since I announced my leave of absence, I did not get it. I have not gotten any emails at all since the 12th of June, and will be unable to recover any of them. So if you DID email me during that time, please PM me here on the forum and let me know what it was in regards to.

Thank you everyone for your concern and well wishes and prayers and thoughts. We sincerely appreciate it. God bless, and with any luck, I'll speak with you all soon.

I don't know if this solves the fridge situation but back when we were starving students there were places that sold slightly used and re-conditioned appliances for dirt cheap (like a $500 fridge for $50.) Just a thought to get you by temporarily...

As you can see by the fact it's been almost two weeks since I originally posted this thread, I was not kidding about the fact we still wouldn't be around too much just yet...lol

Things are still a little hectic and crazy, but little by little we're settling in. The financial aspect of having to relocate unexpectedly and replace our losses has been the hardest issue to deal with. But we're pulling through somehow.

We should be around a bit more frequently now. I still don't have an email account set up yet, though, so continue to use the PM function of the TMF if you need to reach me. I'll post my new email address when I get it running.

P.S. Steph - It wasn't the refrigerator itself that was the problem...it was the electrical in the new place (yeah, that was what we needed to find out after losing our last place to an electrical fire!). It was only putting out around 120 amps, when it should have been putting out at least 220 amps. So all three refrigerators we brought into the house blew the compressors due to not enough power to run them. We now have the electrical fixed (we think, anyway), but don't currently have the money to buy a new fridge since we already blew $$ on 3 that died. So we're kinda stuck for now. Hopefully we'll find another cheap one when we can afford it, and that one will not blow out. We can hope, anyway. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
