A cool windy fall day.
Drawing.
Writing.
Listening to relaxing music (The Low Anthem's "Charlie Darwin" is at the top of this list right now.).
A brisk walk.
Visiting the city.
Visiting the forest.
Chilled cappuccino.
Browsing the bookstore.
Coming up with neat new ideas (in the last two days, I came up with a good concept for a new drawing, a design for a fashionable women's scarf, and an idea for a children's story -- thank goodness for vacations!)
Time off.
Archery -- I never get to do it as I like to anymore, though.
Looking for driftwood or "Cape May diamonds" in NJ.
Looking for sharks teeth at Calvert Cliffs.

Looking out my window and watching the hot guy who cuts our grass :faint:
Listening to someone play acoustic guitar.

Coming home to an empty house. It's so peaceful, even though it usually doesn't last long.

Sunday football on tv.

Being online with friends. Not necessarily talking, just being connected with them and knowing they are there.

Getting that tight squeezing hug from someone close to you that you haven't seen in months.

Watching my Steelers play. Seriously, win or lose, I take great joy in watching my team play.

Listening to heavy thunderstorms on an otherwise quiet summer evening.

Archery -- I never get to do it as I like to anymore, though.

Ooh! This reminded me of one I forgot. I LOVE to pop off a few rounds from my revolver (or my new found love, a Smith and Wesson M&P-40!) at a target and hitting black. I love the stable feeling of my hands on the grips, lining up my sights, taking a deep breath, letting it out, slowly squeezing the trigger to the rear until the primer is struck, releasing the bullet from its casing, sending it on its journey to pierce the paper. I LOVE the precise art of putting a shot where you wanted it to go.

Coming home to an empty house. It's so peaceful, even though it usually doesn't last long.

Ahh, yes! Solitude is a pleasant feeling at times. I rarely get to experience this one, anymore, either.

Getting up before sunrise on a warm summer morning, and driving down the shore, to maybe Ocean Grove, or Long Beach Island, or wherever, and sitting up on the dunes, and letting the breeze brace me. Great for clearing the head.

Flea marketing on Sunday mornings.

Scooter, our youngest, jumping on the bed after I've come out of the shower, meowing in his very high pitched tone, angling for a show of affection. Pretty good for a kitty who was born feral.

Mrs. Knox' smile...along with her meat loaf for dinner.

Knowing that I only have a matter of hours left in the school I'm attending...and how I'm gonna be doing the damn Snoopy Dance on the way out.

Something I haven't done in many a day: walking down a deserted Broadway, past City Hall, and across the Brooklyn Bridge with the sun rising in the east, with one of the great vistas of the world right before my eyes...

A cup of Marino's Italian Ice. Chocolate.

Taking my fingers and digging them into Mrs. Knox' sides, and the explosion that ensues... 😀

Going to Perkins with a group of people or even just one person, getting a cup of coffee and just talking for hours.
When my one friend still lived here, singing tunes on main street with lots of kids or just in his apartment with my best friend boozy off pink wine.
Putting on a good song that everyone in the room/car knows and singing along =]
Going to the little artsy theater with my best friend in the middle of winter with a warm cup of coffee to go see a movie we have never heard of but it always ends up being really good!
Seeing one of your favorite people and giving them a really big hug! =] Or just getting really nice hugs in general, I enjoy those =D
Walking around some place new.
Having a really interesting conversation.
It goes on and on and onnnnnnnn.

I used to love this, too! Whether it was Perkins or Denny's, it was fun to pass the time late in the evenings, not having to worry about getting up the next day for anything, just shootin' the shit with friends over coffee, cheese sticks, and/or breakfast food, laughing at and making jokes about the occasional drunks who wandered in. Aside from those people, the restaurant would be relatively empty, except for the waitresses. It was a very peaceful environment! 😀

-Watching just about any hockey game, with or without a team I'm rooting for.

-Taking walks in the middle of the night/early morning. Like... 3 or 4 am.

-Painting Warhammer miniatures. I don't really play the actual board game, but the painting/assembly of the miniatures is kinda relaxing.

-Drinking with friends.

-Skyping with friends.

-Posting in the SSF.

-Ranting about and/or debating politics, history, hockey, religion, or really just any subject.

-Watching The Daily Show.

And, of course, then there's always sleeping! 😀

A great football game, baking, playing with my rotten kid. (all of which I'm doing while doing this)

Listening to music.
Thunderstorms.
Watching the rain fall.
Reading.
Snuggling my cats and listening to them purr.
Just sitting in a quiet house.
Being home alone.
Sleeping in.
Getting along with my mom.
Watching movies.
Drinking tea or coffee or hot chocolate on a cold winter's day (I so wish it snowed here 🙁).
Being with family when we're not at each other's throats.
Singing along to my favorite songs.

Watching midgets wrestling in pudding..

WHAT!?
Bwhahahaha 😉
Whoever wrote estelle getty in the tag cloud is getting smacked!!

For me:

- Surfing the web while listening to Brent breathe and Jay eat dinner. 😀

:chill: Great thread, babes! :chill:

Awww, we bring ya tranquility, as you do for me. Thanks baby.

What's yours Jay? 🙂
Thanks everyone for participating. As for me:

With others,
-Long skype calls that sometime are nothing more than sharing sharing space with loved one while surfing, feeling they were no more than 3 feet away instead of 1600-7000 miles away
-JoJo. She centers me.
-Watching a movie buried in blankets with someone
-Seeing someone get excited over little things
-Cuddling, snuggling, bearhugs, flying tackle hugs, playful tickling, glomps, and gooby injections
-Riding around with someone special, constantly exchanging looks and smiling knowing there are a million different things you could be doing, but being content just sharing the space in the car

Just me,
-Being out on the porch or for a walk or just awake in general when the rest of the world is still asleep
-Watching a movie
-Surfing the web
-Exploring new areas

There are a million little things, those are just the ones I'm thinking of right now. 🙂

Sitting all snug on the couch with my children, Angelina and Makinzie, eating popcorn and watching a movie.

Does not get any better than that.

Rob

Having a nice pint while reading the local paper after work
Watching the Leafs game (NOT an enjoyable experience in recent years!)
Taking in the stars from my Muskoka chair on the dock up north 😀

1) Taking a shower in the evening, just around sunset, then putting on loose pajama bottoms and an oversized t-shirt and stepping outside into the wind with still-wet hair.

2) Burning the shavings from my colored pencils in a small jar that's next to me while i draw.

I have a few. Maybe more than that, but at the top of my list would probably be sunsets and music.

Walking on the beach near my North Carolina home, late at night, when all others have long since taken to bed. Why near my home specifically? Because, as I walk, I can look up and see the great expanse of stars with no bright lights of civilization to obscure them.

Walks in general relax me, but that type of walk I adore in particular.

Playing with Holly Beara (featured in my signature picture below 😀 She is indeed a celebrity) is tops to me. And playing with Annie's new kitten Sammie :aww:

Baking anything. Chocolate chip cookies on Thursdays, autumn leaves, coffee with Lucy on Saturday mornings.

Spontaneous trips to the city, watching movies all night with my bestie/roomie Annie and then making homemade waffles in the morning, going out on Saturday night, kisses (sigh). Sex  Watching old movies, dancing ballet in the big old studio near my house, fresh new books coming in the mail, playing cello/violin/piano/sax, listening to music, sleeping after a long hard day, ice skating.

Brushing my teeth (why? Idunno), brushing my hair (feels nice), eating raspberries, wearing new fuzzy socks, going out with my girls on the weekends.

Taking shoes off after a long day, gardening, visiting family, reading a fresh newspaper, being tickled 😛

So many things.
