what did you do before internet?

With the internet, youtube, tmf, it's pretty hard to not find exactly what you're looking for in tickling entertainment if you look hard enough...for those of you who grew up and even lived in your adult life without any form of internet...what would you do??

I was in like middle school when the net came out, and I was in High school before I got on any kind of tickling websites, here are some things I did that seemed pretty awesome back then, and in comparison now would seem lame.

-look in catalogs at the nylon ads to look at the ladies feet
-look up the word "tickle", tickling, ticklish etc. in different dictionaries to see the examples they used
-look in the encyclopedia under "humor" maybe there would be something on laughter caused by tickling
-as a minor myself, watch shows that I was waaayyy too old for, like PBS Kids or cartoons cause there was a fair chance that maybe there would be tickling, and there usually would
-watch Home Shopping Network and QVC anytime there was a possibility of a massager, even got daring and had to tape HSN all day on my parent's VCR when a foot massager was the Daily Special...oh how i wish i still had that tape...taped over all my mainstream
-watched Howard Stern on E in hopes maybe he's put someone in the tickle chair
-read some of my children's books that had mentioning of tickling, and reading that line over and over
-watch Wedding Story on TLC because sometimes they'd show the garter toss, and sometimes the girl would be wearing nylons
-watch yoga shows for the feet
-watch game shows that might feature tickling..rarely if ever did
-looked in TV guide for movies that had tickling in them that I knew of


I'd love to hear what you all have had to resort to if you couldn't openly get a catalogue or something.

Before the internet, I would browse through dozens of magazines in an adult (pornography) bookstore to find and purchase one with some photo or mention of tickling or of women's bare feet.

I would also look through TV Guide to see if some movie with a tickling scene (such as North to Alaska) was being shown.

The internet was around the same sort of time I was interested in looking for what I wanted, but we were poor so we didn't have it.

I used to draw my fantasies, I had a fair few thick paper pads that I had filled with images from my head but the time I was done, I used to hide them behind the bottom drawer of my bedside table, I wish I had kept them now but I threw them away in fear of someone finding them, it was still within the time that I felt like it was twisted and wrong.

There was no Internet, Cable or High Definition Television back then. You only had seven TV channels to choose from. I recall the best foot / tickling scenes were from The Avengers, Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In, Cleopatra, Tarzan and Sinbad movies.

I always found it amusing that I was completely not interested in all normal porn that would be featured in those shows as I had a one track mind 😀

Before the internet I read a magazine called "footsy" which was published here in the UK ervy two months (I think), it was a fantastic magazine and would always include tickling of somekind in every issue, ironically the publisher went out of business because of the rise of foot/tickle fetish sites, but lets be honest he wasn't alone when the dotcom boom hit around 10 years ago. Other than that before t'internet I didn't really think that there were many of us like minded individuals around but glad I have been proved wrong on that front.

when I was about eleven or twelve i started drawing pictures of girls getting tickled. I'd keep them hidden in my wallet and destroy them after a little while. *sigh. wish I would've kept some of them. My proudest one was a mass tickle fight with 15+ girls, took days to find the time to finish that one.

I'd also look through catalogues looking for girls in "the pose" usually could find them in the bedding section.

There were a few cartoons growing up which created the same control-based emotional pangs that tickling eventually did (although none of them featured tickling).

As I neared sexuality, I found what appeared to be my parents' copy of The Joy Of Sex and read it in their absence. A few short passages (again, not all tickling-related) inspired some of my early recurring fantasies. Before I learned about physical self-stimulation, I would sometimes spend time in bed "imagining" while still waking before getting out of bed –*thinking carefully through my first tickling fantasies slowly and vividly.

When the internet started the first places I found were places where people would share amateur tickle porn writings (fiction and non), and Steve's Dungeon, and Jack's Rack (the forum section was outrageous!), Tickleboss's Tickle Hell (a victim of the early version of the Priss Patrol, I suspect), and a few photosets by Blithwulf.

I didn't start searching for tickling on the Internet until freshman year of college. I started college in 1997, and the only access to the Internet I had prior to college was on the public computers at my high school. Even when I was alone in the computer lab in high school I was terrified to look for anything tickling-related, lest it register on my account and create problems for me down the line. I didn't really understand search histories and things like that yet. My parents didn't get a computer for the house until I had already gone to college. I tried to convince them to purchase one while I was in high school, but my grandmother talked them out of it. I think she was afraid that her poor innocent grandchildren were going to be corrupted by Internet porn or gay men in chat rooms or something. Probably good that they didn't get one because I would've absolutely been outed given my naivete about search histories at the time.

Anyway, how did I quench my thirst for tickling during those years?

-Finding and "taping" TV episodes with F/M tickling. My favorite one was the Mork and Mindy episode where three hot female "aliens" tickle Mork.
-Stopping to watch any and all tickling that took place in my high school. There was a ton of it, and most of it was F/M.
-Fantasizing about all of these tickling scenes over and over again.
-Looking up tickling-related words in the dictionary.
