I would counsel caution in characterizing any interest in feet at a "paraphillia". The term has a clinical meaning that may not apply to everyone who likes feet or are attracted to feet.
"The DSM-IV-TR describes paraphilias as "recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges or behaviors generally involving (1) nonhuman objects, (2) the suffering or humiliation of oneself or one's partner, or (3) children or other nonconsenting persons that occur over a period of 6 months" (Criterion A),
which "cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning" (Criterion B). DSM-IV-TR names eight specific paraphilic disorders (Exhibitionism, Fetishism, Frotteurism, Pedophilia, Sexual masochism, Sexual sadism, Voyeurism, and Transvestic fetishism, plus a residual category, Paraphilia—Not Otherwise Specified).[38] Criterion B differs for exhibitionism, frotteurism, and pedophilia to include acting on these urges, and for sadism, acting on these urges with a nonconsenting person.[27] Sexual arousal in association with objects that were designed for sexual purposes is not diagnosable.[27]
Some paraphilias may interfere with the capacity for sexual activity with consenting adult partners.[27]
In the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR), a paraphilia is not diagnosable as a psychiatric disorder unless it causes distress to the individual or harm to others.[1]"
It's possible to have an interest in feet that doesn't cause stress or impairment in other areas of one's life.
Any part of the body can be the subject of a paraphilia. Some are society approved (Breasts, Asses, etc) others are not; like feet.
Of all paraphilia feet are perhaps the highest occurring, and because of this, a fair number of people in any sample set will have affinity for them. So when you sample the tickling paraphilia holders, (the people of this forum) you'll find a fair sized intersection based on just raw statistics. Given both paraphilia active, those ticklers will gravitate to tickling feet. It's basically just how the distributions line up.
As for smell, 'stinky' is a cultural norm. We are taught what we are supposed to dislike in smells, and conditioned to learn which to avoid/approach. The human body is a smell factory. And most cultures develop issues surrounding those smells and being rid of them. But the attraction of a paraphilia object is strong enough to overcome, or even incorporate the bias into the individuals pleasure seeking. In short; People who want to get off on a paraphilia learn to ignore cultural programming, and even reject it.
