Heh. Naw. I think most know what I mean, but I don't want to get into all the reasons. They make my head hurt. Maybe I'll just step away for a few hours and come back when the regular forum is back up and running.

Seriously Crystal, I don't really begrudge anyone that enjoys the prank. It's just not for me and likely never will be. I admit I shouldn't harp on it so much, though. So everyone, enjoy yourselves. When sanity is regained, I'll pop back in. ;)
 
Rachel Dratch is this era's Shemp.

Rachel Dratch was originally supposed to have Jane Krakowski's role on 30 Rock; but executives felt she was too similar to Tina Fey, and Fey caved.

When Curly had his stroke in 1946, Moe wanted Shemp to replace him. Columbia thought Shemp looked too much like Moe; but Moe put his foot down.

Personally I don't find it funny at all. Just stupid and annoying. But that's just me.

Alright--
The facts are these this was done as a ritual / prank, take your pick; by a select few whom did it really for their own reasons while at the same time hesitant to own up to it. However when the TMF populace took notice with disapproval I might add, as is evident by the majority of this thread. The parties responsible simple response was to devalue that reaction or to state you don't get it / just deal with it/ its a joke.
It may be amusing to some but some d o n o t call the shots for all. For the criticism I may incur from this post that I lack a sense of humor, allow me to assure you I have one, a wide and diverse one at that; however one caveat is required- that being,
It Must Be Funny.
This was not. I have always been somewhat skeptical at the rumors / accusations pointing to the undercurrents of eliteness within this forum. But, it is troubling if this is to be a forum for all of us, that a stunt, which really is what this, is, should at least be mildly entertaining for most of us.

I don't believe this is.

I agree, it's not very funny. I am all for people having fun, but only a few select people understand it at all and not all of us have the time of day to go digging into the archives and look up past posts to explain shemp. So I must agree, it is stupid and the forum is for the vast majority, not the small minority, so make it look as it should please ? :bounce:
