What was the last movie you saw?

Let's see what I just rented for Thanksgiving (gotta bring these back)...

The Happening... Marky Mark as The Professor... who'da thunk it. Decent movie.
The Golden Compass... Not bad at all. I want an armored polar bear.
No Country For Old Men... That was one messed up movie... but good it was.
Gettysburg... A very good re-enactment.

The last movie i remember seeing in a theater was Cloverfield, can't say i was terribly impressed with it, i thought the little insectoid monsters that dropped from Clover were pretty lame honestly.

I saw Wanted a 2nd time. i friggin love that movie it's like the Fight Club of '08 on crack!

last movie i saw for the 1st time: 007 - Quantam of Solace loved it. Bond at his best. anyone know what the name means? Albert Brocolli stated it's the period of time your at your happiest, you'll never be that happy with anything ever again. so basically Bond will never be as happy as he was with Vesper, that was taken from him.

saying that, it wasn't from the movie does it reveal anything in the movie. just read it on a preview of the video game of the movie.

I can't really get into the new Bond universe. Everyone is saying its great. I just don't see it. It's seems to be more a typical action movie and not James Bond. I really hate it when things that work get re-imagined. Sean Connery will always be the best bond.

Wow ... well as far as i recall my last movie in theaters was in 2005 🙂 Million dollar baby meh that's internet folks ^^

I saw hellboy II last day, which wasn't as good as the first, but it's pleasant to watch.

ack Feather Daemon...i thought Gettysburg sucked..i could have done a better job lol...i know the Civil War backwards and forwards..

"Citizen Kane" ok..i'm thinking he pulled a last big joke on everyone when he mumbled those famous words "rosebud" right before he died..last night was the first time i ever saw this movie..

last movie i was at the theater was "We Are Marshall"

Well the actual production values aren't there, but the movie was initially meant only to be a TV series. Glory is much more crisp as a movie. I also do agree that there was a little cheesiness hear and there. Yet, I really did enjoy The Killer Angels as a book, so maybe a little of that carried over. I do think that the actors did portray the main characters well, particularly Longstreet and Chamberlain. So yeah I liked it, LOL.

I saw "the grudge" recently ( read last evening ) , the first one was the remake and the nd the original japanese version... well it's far better and it's a freaking freaky movie, kind of which i like. Much 🙂

End of Days.....

ole Arnold kicked Satan's butt...it was super cool on HD...

Manos: Hands of Fate (the MST3K-version).

That, my friend, is a serious instant classic!

Quite possibly one of the worst/best/funny/awful movies ever made! I should probably watch it one more time just remind myself just how awesome it really is... :ggrin:

And you're still alive? Magnifico!

For me, it was Muppets Take Manhattan. Mmmm... Kermit...

TORGO!

How can I put this...

:leaf: I entered the theater in the proper mind-frame for the thing. Personally, I would have actually preferred just seeing the original version. I think people would have walked out or rioted or something, though. It was a midnight movie at a place that sells beer, so it was fun enough.

I'd love to see those old Muppets movies again! I watched Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang a month or so ago and it really took me back.

Torgo Rules!
That movie was awesome.

Anyway, the last movie I saw was Apacolypto. That movie was pretty damn good. Sure one can take issue with how powerful the blood cults were in Mezoamerica at the time, I didn't. I thought that the movie was probably more accurate than not. Great action, Jaguar Paw's wife was pretty darn cute too. It was certainly worth my while.

I've been wanting to see Apacolypto for awhile now. I'll have to bug `em about it at Blockbuster tonight or something.

Thanks for the looks back at the mighty Torgo, BTW!

"Howl's Moving Castle" my first anime movie..

Was that thing any good?

Really? Your first anime? So, I'm not a huge fan, although I'll admit there's some greats out there. What was your impression, Isabeau?

Rick i watched it yesterday on the Independent Film Channel while on the treadmill...i think it probably lost a bit in the translation..but i loved it..it was a fascinating tale..with a multitude of diverse characters..however i missed the ending as my best friend chose that time to call me on the phone..grr lol..i would recommend it..
