What was the last movie you saw?

Twilight
everybody, go read the books!
Then you can see why Im so obsessed
😉

The Departed (2008) - Cops n' robbers ain't usually my thing, but this was so brilliantly realized, it was easy to get caught up in it.

Just saw Paul Blart Mall Cop today. It isn't the epitome of thespian cinema, but it was enjoyable enough. Having the pleasure of formally working in a mall environment the behind the scenes stuff was pretty damn accurate.

The Last Movie I saw in a theater was Disney/Pixar's Bolt which was really good.

On DVD, I saw the 1990 Disney Summer Blockbuster, Dick Tracy.

"Premonition" probably not the best choice to watch as hubby is on his way home from a week-long business thingie..

I have seen none of the movies mentioned in the last four or so posts. Not that I haven't wanted to with afew(the ones I'd heard of).

I've seen two different, but entertaining movies lately with the title:

Fortress (1986) (TV)

~and~

Fortress (1993)

I guess both could be considered action/thrillers(?). If you're a "watch anything" kinda viewer like me, you will find both of the above solid wastes of time!
:2thumbs::shit:

The Four Feathers.

I know what you're all thinking... No it wasn't a tickle clip.

Not the 2002 version though. The 1939 version. That blind guy is so sexy. *swoons*

"Step Brothers" It had some funny moments but..i wouldn't have wasted good money going to see this at the theater..saw it on pay per view.

Just saw Gran Torino last night. OMG what an incredible movie. I went in with the expectation that it was going to be an Eastwood style shoot-em-up revenge movie akin to those old Death Wish films with Charlie Bronson.. man, was I wrong. (and, personally, I'm not a fan of shoot-em-ups.)

If you have not seen it, you need to see this film. If Eastwood never stars in another, this one should be the movie he's remembered for.

David i haven't seen it, but if you say it's good, then it's good..

Suicide King Christopher Walken was, as always, excellent in this Independent Film..

I went over to a friends who just got a new 52" LCD TV with that 120Hz technology and watched My Best Friends Girl. I didn't realize how scarred and pitted Dane Cooks face is... Kate Hudson looked amazing though. Funny movie, recommended.

Btw, just so I don't get torched by the Dane Cook fans. I like his comedy as well, but I just was noticing the difference in that TV with how it brought out everything better including the small stuff like that. 😉

I caught the 3-D My Bloody Valentine(2008) just before it left the theaters(here) last week. The 3-D these days is awesome, and the movie itself was well-written(for this sort of fare), and had me and a friend mystified as to exactly who the real killer was right up to the end.:death:

I watched the original Dracula with the commentaries.

I remember seeing My Bloody Valentine ages ago. That was a good one.

Although something of a "B"-movie buff, I had never seen the original My Bloody Valentine. Now, I'd kinda like to!

My recent view would be a rare made-for-TV thriller called A Little Game(1971).

I just saw TAKEN:

Not too bad in the grand scheme of things... found the whole premise a little unrealistic but that aside, I went in not expecting much and was quite impressed. Liam Neeson put in a solid performance and the action scenes were very good. Talk about the lengths a parent will go to protect their offspring - I definitely recommend seeing this at least once if you haven't yet, it's definitely worth the price of admission. 😀

I just saw this one. It contained work by two of my favorite graphic novel artists, Charles Burns and Marie Caillou.

Did it actually play a theater in your area, kopfhorer? Or did you catch it on disc? That looks at least partially worthwhile. Definitely the Charles Burns piece! He has a unique, disquieting style. It appears to transfer well to animation, judging from the bits in the trailer, anyway.

"Glory" excellent battle scenes..

Why couldn't they have made "Gettysburg" and "Gods and Generals" anything like this? It was like everytime a General spoke, he was giving a speech.

The Three Stooges - A Plumbing We Will Go.. I've been a Stoogeophile since I was about 8. Some things don't change!

An area university was showing it. They have a 1920's-vintage theater with a 35mm projector with a surround-sound system (which the movie made good use of).

Lots of horror-movie directors could learn a lot from Mr. Burns!
