As a foot guy myself, I still find myself asking the same question. As far as tickling goes; where the reaction is, is where I like to play. And if its the feet that are most ticklish, its a bonus. I really have no relative answer as to why feet have an effect on me, though I find it fascinating/humiliating that I woman's foot can easily throw my emotions/senses/thoughts off if I find them attractive. I guess that's the very male part of my thinking and its tough knowing the loss of control under a lady's foot.

It's because, for one thing, foot fetishists are still the acceptable "whipping boy" in mainstream what-nots. The fact that a lot of them feed the stereotypes doesn't seem to help.

Another thing is that some people simply can't conceive of the fact that not everyone thinks like them. They can't grasp another's point of view simply because they don't have it, so they don't understand it.

Like, I'm a straight male, so I can't really grok why women are attracted to men, because I don't have that whatever-it-is that tells me that men are attractive. Likewise, I have arachnophobia and so can't understand why some people keep tarantulas as pets when I can't even be in the same room as one without having a panic attack.

It's the same thing with feet, or any other kind of fetish; if you don't have it, you can't really understand it. The mistake comes when you exasperatedly exclaim that you don't "get" why other people do.

And, as a perfect example of how people can't think outside of any box but their own, a few posts up we have a guy posting pictures of some foot model as if that's all the proof you'd need that feet are awesome. Well... I have a foot fetish, and nothing against the Toe Goddess, but those pictures aren't particularly appealing to me. Especially the second one. Oily soles just make me go "ick".

For a more mainstream example, I like to annoy the hell out of my Chinese friends by telling them I get all hot for Lucy Liu. Apparently, her particular look isn't considered attractive in the motherland. But... freckles!!

I think what tree tavern is saying by posting those pictures is, If you cant see the desire of a beautiful foot (and Missy's are amazing) just by looking at the at them you will never get it. Now I ask Why the condensation? You jerking off to a woman's foot is any more intellectual than another foot guy?

Not a troll; The OP a is a newbie woman trying to understand the reasons for the various likes and dislikes on this forum. Few women actually 'get' fetishes on a visceral level, any more that we can figure out colours that match properly or emotions. Be nice.

from my understanding (as a guy with a mild foot fancy), the feet are one of the few erogenous zones that are not sexual, and in that regard, it IS kind of sexually attractive. I mean, think about it, all the weight when standing is placed on them, they're one of the softest surfaces (in regards to unkempt feet, frankly, I don't know how thats possible unless you sweat out like crazy......I never even look at my feet and yet they are still pretty good looking), they're one of the most identifiable/vulnerable body parts for tickling...........

Lets get to the point. THEY ARE naturally sexually attractive. Their very nature makes them perfect for tickling.

Honestly, I used to share similar sentiments as you. A few year ago I'd look at threads and go "wtf is it about feet? WHY do they get so much attention?"

Then my dating life changed. I started seeing more girls. Some actually liked/gave tickling a try. The more I tickled, the more I found satisfying results. The more results I found, the more I wanted to "explore" tickling zones. The more zones I found......I found out the feet were just perfect for opening a lee up 🙂

I think you mean "condescension".

I'm not being condescending, and I don't think Missy's feet are amazing. Obviously, you disagree. My point was, he presented her pictures as though the appeal was self-evident, and it's not. That's what I meant about people not being able to see any point of view but their own. The OP is doing it, and he's doing it. Neither one can understand why the other doesn't see their point of view, because they feel that it's "obvious".

Now, my question to you is, why do you feel that I'm being condescending in that observation? Are you getting worked up that I dare to have an opinion about Missy other than "bow down"? And, for the record, I never said I was better or worse than anyone else... just that I didn't share treetavern's opinion that the "beauty" of a foot, no matter whose it is, is self-evident.

I know why I like feet, giving allowance to the fact that that preference is still hard-wired, and I don't expect someone who doesn't have that "programming" to get it. Sometimes they do, but I'm not floored, baffled, or mystified when they don't. I mean, I don't get all the fuss over Battlestar Galactica, but you don't see me on teh Interwebs asking BSG fans "What's the deal with Cylons?!"

Fetishes, or in the case of feet, partialisms are mental connections that current theory holds, arise during the phase of a persons life (ages 3 to around 13) where their sexual identity is in development.

The reasons that a specific thing, behavior or body part connects with a person seems to be pretty random, and I could spend a lot of time talking about how the formative link between something and arousal are thought to get made and develop, but that is beyond this post.

But for the OP's question, it's best to think of fetishes/partialisms/etc not as distinct closed behaviors, but in fact sets of disks that over lap and even stack on each other. Many distinct likes share elements with others.

In the case of tickling and feet, the connection can spring from a few shared elements. A foot partialist might simply enjoy the sight of a foot (objectification) or they might like seeing a foot in motion (action objectification) or they might enjoy seeing how a foot reacts to stimulation (interactive action result oriented) so some foot fetishists of class 2 and 3 here would also enjoy seeing a foot being tickled. While tickling is not the core of their fetish, it offers action elements that LEAD to their fetish payoff. So they develop a trained enjoyment of the process of tickling, as part of their foot partialism.

A tickler might be aroused by any number of aspects or results of the behavior, but causing motion, wriggling, and result might be one of them. I personally think many ticklers focus too much on foot tickling, and I'm saying that even though I have a foot fetish myself and love foot tickling... But I think it is a shame to only focus on foot tickling and then neglect the rest of the body.
