Thank you for considering Phineas. When folks say they don't think something, to the level of phobic response, it's REALLY poor taste to taunt that. You'd be amazed how many people are folks who have befriended one or more of us.

What is everyone's experience with this?

I was having a conversation tonight with a coworker about massage when I brought up reflexology. Personally, I'm a big fan of massage and I love a good foot massage so reflexology is an interest of mine. As soon as I brought up the subject, though, she made a face and said "I don't like people touching my feet."

I have had women say this to me in the past, and they all turned out to be SUPER ticklish on their feet, hence the reason they don't want them touched.

Opinions?

My little bit of experience with I dont like /hate having my feet touched" Was in fact do to the extreme ticklishness of that person. One person I met over 10 years ago expressed this same comment to me. After a long bout of chatting and then talking I found out that she was horribly ticklish on her feet. However she was very much into being submissive and D/s with an inclination towards BDSM. Though being recluctant she agreed to a tickling session. Though it drove her absolutley nuts to have her feet tickled, she , in a way like it because she craved the total loss of control and being "tortured" She liked mild pain but nothing beyond that. So for her it was the classic love/hate relationship with tickling. I have since lost contact with her, she was /is an intellgient warming fun person to be around. Oh and underarms were just as bad.

OK, so i know i'm like 6 months late, i usually jus lurk around, but i thought i'd go head and put in my two cents anyway.

I jus find it a bit strange @ some people here, who dont like feet (OR tickling for that matter). i mean that's fine of your preferences and all, but you DO know this is The Tickling Media Forum..right? i mean, you have none of the likes of activities displayed here, and this forum was built for people like us. So when someone comes in to your "culturial spot" (that was built specifically for them), saying "i dont like feet (or my own)", or "i absolutely hate tickling", or "no one's allowed to tickle me OR my feet" or jus anything anyone here indulges in that you oppose of (personally, not forcibly), you kinda make them feel not just awkward in their own territory, but uncomfortable. if i'm right, i kinda see where Viper's coming from now. if say he makes a thread about foot massages, then someone comes in saying "yuk, i hate those things", then yeah he has the right so say "OK so, why are you here then?" or "why?", because this is the website for all of that (if you haven't noticed...look to your left at all the gif pics).

This reminds me of what Dave Chappelle said about women & outfits. jus cus she looks like a *****, doesn't me she is. but you have to understand, that "sh*t is confusing". Yes, I "get it" about people being grossed out by feet. As much as I love feet and as many feet I see on a daily basis, there have been times they have turned my stomach as well. So someone without my passion or fetish not liking feet is totally understandable.

That's the same for me, my sister in law is one of these people who hates feet and having hers touched so ove rthe last few years i have tried to tickle them as much as possible, always sends her over the edge but is great fun to do!!!

I'm one of those women.

I would only let someone touch my feet if I trust them enough as a person, or as my 'ler. For the most part, I loathe having my feet touched unless I'm in a session with someone that I know for a fact I can trust completely. If it's someone I am not close to - and/or not close to in a touching way - then I will be immediately upset over the idea of that person touching my feet, as well as just about anywhere else ...... that I'm extremely ticklish. XD

All of that, and this is in regards to my SPD. Even if I were to trust you, there are just some days when I cannot neurologically handle someone touching me in a sensitive area. (boo hoo) It sucks, I know, but sometimes my nerves cannot stand physical contact, small or large. 🙁 Just something I live with.

I was just discussing this with Surcease on FetLife (I gave her her first foot massage ever).

That is sad about the ladies who can’t have their feet touched. I always want to very gently, sweetly rub their feet and show them that it can be done nicely and delicately that they have nothing to fear. Except people who are like that I think are either HIGHLY ticklish and they fear experiencing that even accidentally, or they are just uncomfortable about their feet (lots of women dislike their feet) , or even perhaps their feet are so sensitive that it feels unpleasant (or a combination of the above).

My reporter in Longview hated to have her feet touched. She said it was the same problem that her dad had, but not her mom and sister. She would even stand on the sides of her feet if she was barefoot on grass. Standing on the beach with her shoes off was something memorable to her since it was something she would so rarely do. If she went to a spa she would ask for more time to be used on her face as a facial since she didn’t want anyone massaging her feet or doing her nails.

Her feet looked nice - she did take care of them, and she quit ballet as she got older so that they would continue to look nice; she just didn’t want anyone to touch them. I think it was akin to a phobia, although I image that she was also very ticklish. I got her a little foot massager she could keep under her desk and she really like that, but never wanted her feet touched.
