Where Do You See Yourself In Five Years?...Not A Joke

Now that I know what I want to be when I grow up, I have been doing a lot of thinking about my future. I know that no plan is 100%, but this where I would LIKE to see myself in 5 years.

1. Have my Masters completed and working in my chosen field.

2. Have a small, but tight circle of close friends that I see regularly.

3. A steady relationship that is healthy and moving in a positive, forward direction.

4. Live in a place that has plenty of closet/storage space, an office, a guest room, a kitchen with lots of counter space and a back yard.

5. A dog.

6. Still pondering this one, but I may just want a child. JPie's experience is making me think that adoption might be the way to go.

7. Time to enjoy hobbies like the theater.

8. My online time will be for work primarily. Sorry folks, but once I have everything above, I hope not to spend a lot of time online for recreation.

What do you want/desire?

On a plane...

Heading back to China to adopt another little abandoned angel. Hopefully with a team of engineers to help correct the orphanges deficiencies as well......

Ah 5 yrs, so very far away. Well, I hope by then I am one of the Valley's finest. Do hope to have a house by then, and maybe a new car. But, as long as my family and I are safe, that is all that matters to me.

ah, thanks Jen. My son was the best thing I ever did bar none! And I know my little angel waiting for me now will also be a most welcome experience. Building a family through adoption is a wonderful choice. There are many wonderful children out there waiting to share their unconditional love with families.

Where do I see myself in 5 years, tending my beautiful family, watching my children grow up and flourish. Guiding them and providing for them. Family has and always been #1 for me.

Unfortunately, I'm not completely sure where I see myself in five years. As far as my career, I'll hopefully still be in the Marine Corps, and at least a Staff Sergeant by then. If they do happen to do away with my current job, then I'd like to be either an EKMS manager, or in the Marine Corps Band. Gotta brush up on the clarinet, though.

Financially, I'll have a good portion of my bills paid off, actually owning a good portion of what I have, with little stress from bills LOL Yeah, that'll be the day.

As far as my marriage, I honestly cannot say.

Either I should be full into BUDs Training by then or enjoying life as a professional track athlete in Europe.

After reading luv2bt&tickled's post about old people, I'm hoping I'm dead so I don't have to go thru all that. 😀

Seriously, in five years I'm hoping to be living someplace warmer with a better job. Anything beyond that is a luxury, as far as I'm concerned.

In five years...

I'm looking at four possibilities:
1)My music takes off...I'll be playing shows, touring, writing music in the studio,etc.
2)I finish my schooling in O.C, get my foot in the door as a sound engineer, end up climbing the ranks in the music industry.
3)After finishing my schooling in Orange County I end up getting a grant to go to The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona. The rest resulting to the same as above.
4)Whatever God has planned for me: If plans A,B,and C don't work out then there is something else for me to do which will become evident to me. I won't admit defeat.

living on my own...not dependent on anybody

a reliable car

maybe a dog..if i still have the heart for one after this spring

career-wise...not a clue...i have so many interests and thoughts not sure where i'm headed

might still be in ny might not..depends on stuff

and hobbling along like i usually do 😀

Who knows where I'll be...but 5 years ago, I was 6 months pregnant with my son, we were planning our wedding and the baby's Christening for the following year...who'd have thought that 5 years from then, we'd be getting court dates for divorce and custody hearings. In 5 years from now, maybe I'll be happy and settled with the one I'm really meant to be with...
