The study indicates that laughter, in this context, is a submissive signal, that indicates "I give up". Which was probably designed to aid the learning process in the evolutionary phase, when language might not have been there yet.
The most one can say about lee's is that they like some aspect of the experience which COULD be a submissive vector, but could just as easily be something else.

Okay, to say that all lees are inherently submissive based upon the information presented is a bit of a hasty generalization. I just thought the details interesting, because I don't consider myself submissive, but I thoroughly enjoy being tortured in that capacity.
