Why do we mourn Michael Jackson?

Found innocent and actually innocent are not necessarily the same thing...do you guys really not understand that? Or are you trying to bug me by acting like it's not perfectly clear what I'm saying to you? I don't think either one of you is actually retarded. :sarcasm:

I'm far from retarded thank you very much; but I'm nearly not as stubborn as you. It doesn't matter what any of us think personally other than he has never been convicted as a pedophile. What I think personally is irrevalent; no one will ever convict a person based on what I think so why frustrate myself with it? Or should I say, why should you?

You act as if I have some sort of comprension problem when in actuality it is you who won't deal with the reality of the situation. The reality is no matter what I think personally, he was not convicted of a crime.....not ever......not once.

But you are obviously entitled to your opinion, even if it may be incorrect.

The following clip summarizes my view of Michael and the hypocrisy of the media/public regarding him.

Ultra win. 😀

They'd just like you to explain why you believe he's guilty. That's really all it boils down to.

Thank you for giving me that much. I'm not even trying to convince you of anything, kis: you and I agree that he probably really did molest children.

I've just been arguing that people do have a right to say it, even without an official guilty verdict. And since we've established that we all have a right to our opinions, I guess the matter is settled, no?

For why I think what I think, please just see the last 6 pages...I'm too tired to post everything again.

I'm waiting with baited breath!

There's no proof, just supposition and innuendo; a conviction in the court of public opinion. Where are the facts and proof a crime ever existed? There aren't any......plain and simple.

But I await a response that can be proven beyond reasonable doubt, just like the law says.

No, you don't probably agree, you have said it out loud that he did. You don't call someone a pedophile who you think didn't do it.

No, without actual proof or conviction, if the family chose to, people can be sued for slander and defamation of character. The good news is that the family has chosen to concentrate on burying him instead of filing lawsuits from thousands (or more) of people spewing this garbage all over the internet. Consider yourself lucky I guess.

For why I think what I think, please just see the last 6 pages...I'm too tired to post everything again.

You're allowed to think whatever you want to; but without iron clad proof, you only spit in the wind and no one can convict over that.

Indeed. And listen, everyone. I'm not saying Michael Jackson isn't guilty of molesting children. But we have to be logical about this. Have any of us ever been a guest at the Neverland Ranch and in Jackson's bedroom when he had these children as guests? We can't just assume. If he violated children, then he deserves to pay for his sins. But if not, the poor guy deserves to left alone.

My last post on the subject (at least until morning...):

We can't just assume. If he violated children, then he deserves to pay for his sins. But if not, the poor guy deserves to left alone.

There's a lot of humanity in that statement, and I get where you're coming from. But these weren't victimless crimes he was accused of. It doesn't magically go away when you die. And it doesn't magically go away when a court finds you not guilty. That's why people are still mad about this. And that's why we're talking about it here.

At this rate, this circular argument will continue until all the Jacksons, and the kids Michael "allegedly" molested die.

On a side note, if this scary motherfucker was your father:

you'd be fucked up too.

So you are acquitted and still must carry around the accusation....wow...

I found this on youtube and I thought it deserved some attention...I hope this gives some insight but hope springs eternal.

The real villian in this is his own father, who both verbally and physically abused his own children just to make a quick buck and exploited them as if they were circus animals!!!Because of this,Michael never had a normal childhood and thus drove him to acts of pedophilia and made him into the sideshow attraction all the way to his death!!!!

Joe Jackson, your place in hell is reseved for you......NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably gonna have to backup kis123 here. Whether he did it or not, he was aquitted and therefore shouldn't deserve these labels being thrown at him.

Was MJ fucking weird? Yes, and it probably is largely because any "normality" he could've had went out the window as early as age 11. This is a guy who basically went through puberty pubically, and I'm sure that and the intense spotlight at such a young age would have had at least some consequences on his later life.

Did MJ act/behave inappropriately around children? Well, from what we have seen in interviews (that one particular interview especially), it would be in my opinion and my opinion only that he did act inappropriately. Kids in his bed? Let's not kid ourselves, MJ's morals were a little out of whack.

However, does this make him a pedophille? No, just like somebody who eyes off a chocolate cake isn't a chocolate cake eater until it's in his goddamn mouth. He might lick his lips furiously, and froth copiously at mouth, but until the deed is done, and in MJ's case, it's proven, then he can't be considered it.

Obviously child molestation is a sensitive subject, and it's magnified with MJ because he was so famous.

And a man of that status:

...could've been a good role model.

....probably should've been a much better role model.

...but didn't end up being much of a role model at all.

Crucify him if you will, but in my books, that's all he's guilty of. Guilty of that, and also making me shake my shoes on the dancefloor.

C7, why do you think Michael is guilty? We have given reasons as to why Michael is innocent, why don't you man up and explain to all of us why Michael is a pedophile. Just because he was accused? You have to do better than that. What evidence do you have that makes you think Michael is guilty?

Bump

Also, to anyone who doesn't get simple concepts, here is the kids gloves version; in the court of law, you are innocent until proven guilty. As Jackson was never proven to be guilty of these crimes, he is not on the hook about them. If you somehow think your little solipsistic court of public opinion is somehow valid still, you are a dipshit. End game. You are too stupid, and god help us all if you ever get put in a position to put someone away for some hard time.

People mourn him because they want to. End of discussion. No debating. He didn't go out like Chris Benoit.

Double bubble bump...

*applauds *. Nice post. Heartily agree with this.

I used to look up to Michael a lot.

and every time, he'd look back down at me and say, "keep going, son".

simply the best

The answer is very simple: MJ was simply the best pop producer ever!

Xion, you're my new best friend, you absolutely said what I was thinking! :happyhop:

Don`t think anyone will ever know the truth behind his personal life . He became a global superstar at the same time I began to listen to my own choices of music. It was great time and he really brought a whole new type of music to the masses.

On the other hand...

Two things that will always bother me are

The fact he had a secret room accessed through his private bedroom . And him hanging his child over a hotel balcony in Germany.

Sound familiar to anyone...?

MIAMI (Reuters) – A fight broke out on a Florida bus when news of Michael Jackson's death sparked debate over whether he should be remembered as a great musical talent, and one passenger was charged with assault, police said on Friday.

The bus was moving through the city of North Lauderdale on Thursday when passenger James Kiernan received a text message about Jackson's death on his cell phone, and he read it aloud on the bus, the Broward County Sheriff's Department said.

The unidentified bus driver opined that "Michael Jackson should have been in jail long ago," prompting Kiernan, 60, to retort that "the world just lost a great musical talent," the police report said.

It said the last remark enraged another passenger, Henry Wideman, who started a swearing match with Kiernan, then pulled out a knife and chased Kiernan down the aisle with it.

The driver called his dispatcher and pulled over near a convenience store to wait for sheriff's deputies, who arrested Wideman, 54. He remained in jail on Friday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

LOL. We really need a "chasing down the aisle with a knife" emoticon to settle this debate. 😛
