Why females have an easier time going barefoot?

I see this all the time and it pisses me off to no end. Why male feet, even when sexy, delicate, smooth and feminine must always be hidden under heavy armor, while female feet, even if they are slightly sloppy are cute. Why is a dirty female sole sexually arousing while a dirty male sole is disgusting? Why barefoot women are cute and sexy, whereas barefoot men are disgusting hobo looking/sloppy/uncivilized? Why cant well cared and naturally beautiful, feminine looking feet on guys are not sexy, but not even esthetically pleasing? Why am I punished to never be allowed to enjoy the joys of walking barefoot without meeting scorn? Why aremost male outfits and shoes even designed to hide feet and to look bad with bare feet? I am wearing combat boots as I type this, and it is obvious that combat trousers look good with combat boots, army style uniform and all that shit, but when I am in my free time, I wear skinny jeans or other type of tight trousers, now in the summer the type that only reach above the ankle, my legs are shapely and hairless, yet the only sandals I can find are designed to show little if any portion of the foot. Roman sanda,s for example conceal almost the whole foot. Walking barefoot outside of the house and sometimes even inside(I live with my parrents) is impossible without scorn, being made fun of, disgusted looks, mean comments. At the same time females in the country side I live at go barefoot almost the whole summer and nobody gives them shit. So why are bare feet considered a girl thing and is srs my only chance to enjoy what females can?

i say who cares what people say. if you want to be barefoot be barefoot

I agree with you that the design of women's shoes tend to flaunt the arches and toes and men's shoes do not. But why do you keep saying that a man's sexy feet are feminine?

Because you've surrounded yourself with guys that have fetishes for womens feet so long you think it's a universal thing. It's not; dirty womens feet are considered as gross as guys. Mens sandals are everywhere. Walking around the house without shoes is commonplace.

Where the hell do you live?

I would if I didn't hear comments such as "Is that the new footwear collection from Adam's fashion house" (joke referring to Adam's suit meaning naked), or "nice shoes, real leather! Are they from your mother?" (since the baby is born barefoot), or "hell, where are your shoes?" or "look, he's barefoot" followed by giggles, or "we don't live in Poplaca" ( Poplaca is the name of a village where people are very backwards, and I hate with passion being considered backwards), or I may be called a redneck(which really gets to me since I'm not a redneck in the slightest, I'm more of a metrosexual which is quite the opposite, no disrespect to rural people, but I'm not one, and I hate being called something I am not) etc. Of course I either give a snappy reply or don't even bother to reply, but after being constantly given shit over something it gets to you eventually and you give up.

On the time of the sun king in France it was men wearing high heel shoes. The king himself appears in a painting with bright red stilleto high heeled shoes, white silk hose, and an embroided cloak, wonderful looks, great taste back then. But during the 18th century Europe has seen intense militarization and men fashion replaced high heel shoes with military boots, and high heel shoes were considered impractical and were abandoned until modern era porn industry reinstated them on female models first to accentuate their features, and then fashion houses made high heel shoes a common footwear for women, but unfotunatelly not for men.
I would love high heel shoes to be reinstated for men. They accentuate the calves muscles making legs appear more shapely, and I would have an excuse to take them off and drive and walk barefoot. Hell, women even get away with getting barefoot at a formal event like a wedding with this excuse (a poor excuse to be honest, I tried some high heels once just for the hell of it since I also got small size seven feet at my 6'2 height and they are bearable, but then again I only wore them for a few minutes, not hours and didn't try to dance in them).
Oh, and when I said feminine, I meant with a very delicate shape, contrary to bulky shape which is usually associated with masculine, although men can have delicate features and women can have bulky features, but usually females have more delicate features, and since I could not post a picture of my feet from here at work, I tried to use words to describe as best as possible.

Because we can

... jk. Idk hahaha because stereotypes? Because women are not usually into feet? (too my knowledge, I mean I haven't met a girl who is into sniffing dirty and smelly men feet) I'm just adding more fire to the controversy here, don't mind me (also no intend to offend anybody haha)

I live in Romania, the rural area around Timisoara, and because of it's proximity to the city, most young people are either city boys or rednecks pretending to be city boys. Walking barefoot in such a community as a guy gets you being associated with a redneck, but for some reason they don't have a problem with the women that do it. In the city it is even worse, the only people that walk barefoot are either those too poor to afford shoes.
Walking around house barefoot would work if my mother would not hate bare feet. If I dont wear either socks or slippers she shoots her mouth off. Most male sandals don't show nearly as much skin as female sandals, and the roman sandals which are in fashion this year almost conceal the whole foot.

Yeah, why does the dog lick his privates? Because he can. Just a joke here. And I'm not really looking for foot appreciation from girls here, but from other guys who are into feet. I mean if they don't give shit to a barefoot woman they must be into feet, right?

I mean if they don't give shit to a barefoot woman they must be into feet, right?

Maybe they just don't care?

You've kind of answered your own question - if you consider the best male feet to be feminine then surely even you think that bare feet is a women's thing?

I also think it's something to do with men dressing to look masculine and powerful (which is how I choose to dress - I can't stand the metrosexual fashions myself). How seriously would you take a man in a nice suit, and no shoes?

Maybe another reason is because women are expected to show more skin in general than men are? Idk, just guessing.

I'm not into feet at all, but I don't have a problem with anyone (of any gender) going barefoot where it's appropriate. I also hate double standards.

All I can suggest is, if you want to go barefoot, then do so, as long as you're not breaking the law. If you at least act like these nasty comments don't bother you, they'll probably stop eventually. Own it. 😉

Since when should you be giving a f**k what others or society. I say go out and live your life. If you want to be barefoot then gosh darn it go do it.

Suits are business outfits. Business women also wear a feminine version of a business outfit usually a feminine jacket, skirt and high heel closed toe shoes and they do not get barefoot at the office unless it's under the desk or if the only other people in the office are coworkers. But when it comes to evening dress I take a barefoot woman dressed in an evening dress as seriously as I would take a barefoot guy dressed in a tuxedo.

Maybe another reason is because women are expected to show more skin in general than men are? Idk, just guessing.

That's what we have to fix in society mate. Maybe some of us want to show off and when they try they hit a wall of double standards. Male strippers, especially poledancers complain about a lack of appreciation for their performance, because some dance teachers consider pole dance a feminine thing. Same thing with bare feet.

All I can suggest is, if you want to go barefoot, then do so, as long as you're not breaking the law. If you at least act like these nasty comments don't bother you, they'll probably stop eventually. Own it. 😉

No, it's not illegal to walk barefoot in public. And it's not what people say that bothers me most but what people think. People that don't have a foot fetish or at least do not present themselves as having a foot fetish tend to have a problem only with guys that go barefoot in public but not give a shit about females going barefoot in public. There were several instances were people voiced their opinions on these matter. First on a forum. The question was "do you girls go barefoot in public?". A guy answered "I was walking with my girlfriend once and she was hot and wanted to take her shoes off, but was too shy to do it. To make her feel comfortable with this I also took my shoes off. I got a lot of weird looks but no one said anything, because what can you tell to a tall shaved headed crazy oaf who got into the mood to go barefoot?". See, this guy for example went barefoot himself and characterized himself as a crazy oaf. Nobody said a thing, he said it himself. There was another post also on that thread. "I also had to go barefoot in public, because I stepped into a puddle and my shoes were soaking wet. Unfortunately I was not with my girlfriend but with a friend who kept his shoes on. People were looking, but what can you say to a retarded child?". See, this guy also went barefoot himself albeit forced by the situation and nobody told him anything but he called himself retarded. Another instance was on a poll site comments. "The girls in my class on hot days used to take off their shoes, put them in the locker and go barefoot. I did it too and I was the only guy doing it". On the same site another comment "A barefoot girl is usually considered cute and sexy, but a barefoot guy is considered eccentric and weird". Talking about the forum guys, they must have self depreciated with a reason, and the reason was the weird looks they received. People only give weird looks when they considered that they are looking at something that is weird. As for the poll site guys, they said exactly what I said. But why did they say it? Here is why. There is a guy with mental problems here in out village. He still has a driving license. People were talking about him and said his driver license should be removed. Among their arguments to his insanity (he was insane and hospitalized many many times) was that he was walking barefoot on the field. Excuse me? How is that an argument? I don't know how but that is the way people think. You see, there is a pattern here. People tend to think bad things about barefoot guys, while barefoot girls are either ignored or even appreciated. So you understand in what a ticklish pun intended situation I am. Either indulge in what I like and create myself a poor reputation which hurts my self esteem, or restrain from something I really love and be very sad about it.

Can you not leave home ?

I could move in a condo in the city my family owns (the condo, not the city 😛). I would be almost always barefoot at house then, but I could still not take a step barefoot outside, because as I said the only people who go barefoot in the city are the ones who are too poor to afford footwear and females having to walk long ways on high heels. In the city even girls don't walk barefoot in public unless forced by the situation. Like long walks on high heels. Here, in the rural area I could go barefoot without a problem if I was a gal, which sadly I am not.

Maybe guys are more shy about it? I often hear women insulting men's feet which probably makes many guys feel self conscious. In fact, some women often don't think twice before insulting a man's body. Personally, I tend to be self conscious about showing skin, even though I am in reasonably good shape because I am always hearing women openly discuss what they dislike about men's bodies (too much body hair, for example.)

My girlfriend has even made passing comments about my body that really hurt my feelings and when I told her how I felt, she was surprised and extremely apologetic. I don't think women say stuff like "eww guys feet gross me out" to be mean, I think they just assume we aren't bothered by stuff like that and don't always see the need to show the same respect they expect in return.

I recently saw a guy walking barefoot around an art exhibition - I thought this was great. I like to see people act how they want - it's not necessarily any kind of expression of anything, maybe just an instantaneous reaction to conditions....walking down a high street with no top on because it's so bloody hot is no different to removing your shoes or going barefoot just because it's more comfortable for you

Maybe where you live there are more stereotypical perceptions of what constitutes normal behaviour and normal dress....those that aren't familiar with any deviation from the norm need to broaden their horizons, because it's really not that big a deal.

You've raised lots of interesting points there, but I don't think you've really specified whether there's a specific gender that you think has this negative perception of males going barefoot....is it both genders that have this opinion or are you jus angry at one gender for singling this out as being weird?
There's probably nothing wrong with your feet, but are you trying to achieve something akin to what the ladies can achieve with their feet in terms of the attention they get? You mention hairless legs etc - are you aiming for some sort of feminine level of pretty feet? just be proud of having male feet!!

Do you want to achieve acceptance from both genders or one in particular?

I was just wondering if it's something really basic stemming back to when we're growing up as kids.... when the boys are like "jeez girls are so annoying" and the girls are all going "omg boys smell!"
Maybe this perception of boys (by women) carries on as we all get older ....I certainly have some female friends who still refer to guys in their late 20s as boys, eg "he's such a boy , why would he want to do the washing up". So a guy showing his feet is like "omg boys are gross"
But for guys, I don't think as kids we've ever really given consideration to females in this really basic physical sense so we have no qualms about it now. We're more likely to make different stereotypical observations about women, them going shopping or the number of pairs of shoes they have etc.

Equally, I can clearly hear boys at school saying "put ya shoes on, ya poof" if they happened to think wearing boots and rugby socks was more masculine than walking around barefoot. Interesting. It is a defensive thing, submissive, expressive etc - all those things you're not confident with when you're still maturing - maybe these redneck characters are not yet matured so still have these child like perceptions.

However, if your post is not suggesting any gender differentials then I'm not really sure.....

I like to see someone going barefoot, regardless of the condition of their feet, although I can't deny that I do judge the feet due to the fact I'm more aware of feet through my tickle fetish.
I'd never pass comment though. You're just as entitled to go barefoot in public as you are to let your hair down, remove your t-shirt, put your hands in your pockets, break wind etc

In terms of footwear, I agree that there is very little in men's footwear that showcases the male feet - I've often wished there was a high-heeled male equivalent shoe .

I wear flip flops a lot and they are far more revealing than those roman sandals and I'm certain my feet are far more attractive than some other examples you see from both genders, but probably less attractive than some also - nobody has ever passed comment either way really -are you more annoyed at the reaction by fellow foot/tickle fetish people or by people that don't have this fetish? Who do you want to accept this, fetish people? Strangers on the street? family?
There's definitely a gender thing here, I think on average there's more men into feet than women, and out of the women that are into feet, most of these would prefer women feet too - but I think out of the men that are into feet , there's a large proportion that are into men's feet - that's just me speaking from years of experience, - I've had a hell of a lot of men compliment me on my feet, so in theory, you shouldn't have any problem with showing your feet? Maybe it's just wear you live.

I've had enough now, I started to reply about an hour ago, but unfortunately it's far too late and I'm too drunk to many any sense, apologies

Living in California people (guys and girls) always wear sandals and/or go barefoot fairly often, and nobody really thinks it weird. I think being barefoot in public is a little unsanitary, but that's not gender specific or anything.

Yes, I totally love the feeling of going barefoot, but I also get quite turned on by goinf barefoot. Probably yes, it would be nice to achieve what girls achieve by walking barefoot, but because most guys are straight and everything is so one-sided I doubt I will have the pleasure. And yes, I feel gealos at girls for being able to do what I can not and angry at guys for being so one sided. And most people having a problem with my feet were guys. At least if they were girls I would tell them to practice what they preach and put some shoes on themselves. But mostly I do not want to be considered weird in a haywire way.

Nope. I hate stepping on any and even a single bit of grime on a daily basis.
The exception is maybe those 'once in a blue moon' or seasonal walk on sand by the beach.

Who cares? I'm a guy and I walk around barefoot whenever I can. On the seaside when I'm lazy it's much more comfortable to walk back from the beach to the car or a nearby hotel with my shoes off. I couldn't care less what others would think of me and my walking barefoot.

never head of women having an easier time to go barefoot. Just always figured women like being barefoot more then men,
never think there is an "one has it easier" type of thing. I think its in ya head. Women just like being barefoot more.
