Why Tickle ?

Hello,



Recently, I found a series of videos that all had something to do with tickling in the title. Confused, yet intrigued, I proceeded to download them and watch my new finds. What I saw left me with my jaw on the ground, not so much in shock of the actual activity (hey, who doesn't mind a good tickle) but that theres a 'fetish' around it. Do people actually get off on this or am I just too closed minded in my views of human sexuality and how it is expressed ? Thanks in advanced for any input.

Seriously, though. Yes, there are some people for whom tickling is a sexual turn-on...either in giving or getting the tickles...or both. For others, it's merely a hell of a lot of fun. You'll find some of both here...and many who enjoy both the sexual and purely playful tickles. We don't bite...well, not often. So, feel free to poke around and see what we're all about...provided you want to and are of legal age, that is.

According to most online surveys I've seen, over 92% of adults admit they are ticklish (and based on my experience, it's even higher than that...especially women).

Why not tickle....it's so natural. My first memories of being tickled are when I was a toddler, being playfully tickled by my mom, my aunts, and female cousins. There was nothing sexual or kinky about it...just as when I tickled my little sister (usually to "get even" after she tattled on me to mom or dad).

...just too hear her cute giggle, so we can roll around on the floor laughing like kids again. She enjoys it, so do I...we're both of legal age, so what's the problem? I've known Traci since we were kids, and as of today, we've never seen each other nude....she's a southern lady, I'm a southern gentleman. Other than our ticklefights, we're about as boring and "vanilla" as you get...no wild parties, neither of us drink alcohol; neither of us care for pornography.

Why did I begin tickling? I grew up around it.....my dad and mom had playful ticklefights all the time...I began tickling my sister, neighbor girls, and several of sis's female friends from school when I was 11-12 yrs old. It was totally innocent...nothing sexual. I just liked to hear them giggle and squeal....a couple of sis's friends enjoyed being tickled silly as much as I enjoyed tickling them (my pretty neighbor Tonya would stick her cute bare foot up from the floor when visiting sis and DARE me to tickle her 😀

Nearly everyone's ticklish....and most of us like giggling sometimes, and seeing others smile and giggle...so tickling....why not? 🙂

Sure, some people get off by tickling or being tickled. Not all of them find it sexual all the time. It may be playful, torture etc. at other times.

I might also point out that some people of both genders are quite ticklish in their private places. Tickling them there is highly likely to be erotic.

Well... if you see us here, it's mainly because we love tickling on some level (unless there are posers out here to destroy us all... MUHAHAHAHA giggle)

I thought I would go a step further and tell you why I actually enjoy tickling and being tickled. (Hope I refrain from writing a book.)

Like Koocheekoo, this entire experience started out quite innocently in my childhood. My uncles, my aunts, sisters, the neighborhood kids, we were always having tickle fights. And honestly, I engaged in it so often that I thought it was pretty normal for the longest time. Well... I still don't think it's that strange to like tickling. I think it's a load of fun.

To me, it is all about touch and affection. Sort of like reaching out with a prolonged hug and saying, "I care about you!" "I like you...." Later on in life it (finally) meant "I love you, and find you irresistible." 😉

Tickling had almost always been innocent and playful for me. But it was also arousing every once in awhile when a boyfriend of mine really got me going. Mainly though, I see/saw it as a great stress reliever and a way for me to lose control, lose myself in laughter. It just felt great. (To both give it and receive it.)

I honestly thought tickling for me would always be that. You know... innocent and cute, just a big bowl of fun. I mean, there are some people who are content with that.

And I was.... until well.... recently, I fell in love with someone I plan to be with for the rest of my life. This person, of course, shares so much more with me than our love for tickling. Honestly, he could have hated it, and I still would have fallen for him.

Just that fast my definition of my love for tickling was altered quite a bit. It surprised me really because I thought after all these years that I had figured it out.

It went from sweet and innocent to something that lit my very soul on fire at just one touch. (Physical or mental... sigh)

Of course, everything changes when you're in love. You start appreciating little things like him taking out the trash... LOL

I'm off topic... You know what I mean.

So today I still love tickling because it is fun and playful, but now also because it because it is sensual and erotic. I enjoy pretty much all sides of it.

Personally, I think that tickling is a rather harmless and erotic fetish, compared to some others. TicklishSinner is right, people can get off on a lot of things: gross things like farting or scat play, cruel things like asphyxiation or belly punching, funny things like balloon crushing or cake-throwing... Compared to that, tickling is rather mainstream, IMO! 😛

I love the whole tickling scene, and have been excited by being tickled, or tickling someone else, but, as KootchieKoo put it, I used to tickle neighborhood girls, and some relatives just to get them to giggle, and hopefully tickle me back! (I don't know if this matters, but they were always female. Go figure). If they seemed angry, or offended, then I didn't do it again, but it did seem that a few would "come back for more", teasing me into tickling them, or just tickling me first. So, I think most of us can diferentiate between sensual, and playful tickling, therefore, I believe the answer to your question is the afore mentioned why not?

Personally, one of the things I love about this site so much is the diversity you see in the people here. We have people from all over the world at this forum, each brought here by a similar interest. Some people visit the forum once every hour, while others maybe once a year. Tickling can be both a turn on and just something one can enjoy for the heck of it. But no matter who you are, there's something for you here 😀

Not to mention the people of this forum are some of the most awsome people I've ever met! In my experience, Ive found everyone to be very accepting and generally nice towards one another. It's more than just a site- it's a community. We talk about almost everything here, not jsut tickling- sometimes I feel like I know people on here personally. And let's jsut say im a lot more into world events since I started hanging out here and listening to certian discussions. Now i understand why when i first joined, one of the first responses I got was "welcome home" 🙂

I guess what Im trying to say is...yes, tickling can be fun and a turn on (as many before me have already said).
