I'm trying to add songs to my library that are great for working out. So far I have a BUNCH of Britney spears songs (go figure!). So what songs do you work out to?

I listen to electronica, in it's varying forms. Especially The Freestylers 😀

I use the Podrunner workout mix. It has a fixed BPM for maintaining cadence, the music is excellent and it's FREE. You can also get it on iTunes.

Metal.

Rage Against the Machine.

QOTSA, Strokes and Wolfmother have some fast paced and killer songs.

Alice in Chains, Godmack and Muse have some faster songs that are good for running or 'pumping iron'.

Bad Religion

Iron Maiden

Judas Priest

Dio

Rainbow

Motorhead

a few Green Day songs

RATM for weights, The Game/ Onyx for bag sessions, Lupe Fiasco/ Madness for running and cardio.

YMCA is also a surprisingly good song to row along to. YOUNGMEN!

Lets see whats on my current workout playlist: :makingalist:

Tubthumping - Chumbawomba

Call on Me - Eric Prydz

Rose of Sharyn - Killswitch Engage

Not Falling - Mudvayne

Move Along - All American Rejects

Rise Above This - Seether

The Final Countdown - Europe

It's My Life - Bon Jovie

More Than a Feeling - Boston

Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppord

All high quality tunes :boogie:

i have an entire "gym" playlist that mainly consists of metal bands, such as, but not limited to:
Meshuggah
Lamb of God
Job for a Cowboy
Vampire Mooose
Kittie
Arch Enemy
Deftones
Tool
and so on and so forth. i find that these selections are good for all things and they work for me. when i work out, the more angry and heavy the music, the better.

pffft no Maiden or Priest = no Metal lol just teasing

I go to the source:

The Crystal Method can do no wrong for workout mixes. Especially the albums Tweekend, and Legion of Boom.

Paul Oakenfold also has some tight tunes. My personal fave is his Lively Mind album.

Other faves: Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, NIN, some Tori Amos, some Christina, some John Butler Trio, some They Might be Giants, and a on of other stuff too.

Yeah...

You heard me.

LMAO.

Go get 'em Glam. Just don't pull anything. :dom:

The Deeto

I don't like admitting this, but I'm really starting to enjoy working out to Madonna's "Hard Candy". I didn't like the album at first, but it started to grow on me. "Confessions On A Dance Floor" is also great to work out to.

Other music I enjoy on the treadmill:

Soundtrack to the movie 21
Daft Punk
The Chrystal Method (love the "Vegas" album)
Garbage
Gorillaz
Rob Zombie

I think my favorite song to listen to when working out is MC Hammer 2 legit 2 quit.

My playlist is mostly rock music and some rap.
