Correction, please: the German and UK 'HOOLIGANS' beat up each other. No true fan would participate. Hooligans of all nations arrange "business meetings" (brawls) by cellphone and the internet. The game is irrelevant, all that counts is violence.BLUE_THUNDER said:the german and UK fans are beating the hell out of each other now, its all over the news . peace......BLUE_THUNDER

This just goes to show what the pressure can do on the players in the field. England is the next to go, and from the looks of things, only a miracle can save Portugal from failure, at least because we lost an important "pawn" in the game (Deco), as for Costinha, i think he's replaceable, hardly but...nenezinho said:No miracle needed Dario!!!
If we can hold with netherland 10 to 11 and 9 to 10, we can also give a good fight to the british guys 11 to 11.
We will play more or less like against Angola:
The defense is the same and Carvalho/Meira are getting more coordinated as the games pass.
The miedfield will see petit instead of Costinha and this should be ok, he has a good experience of dealing with Gerard this season 😀
Deco will be replaced by Figo playing as playmaker, and Figo seems really well. Simão should take a place in one of the wings and he will be really willing to impress "some" british supporters 😛
I´m more concerned with Cristiano´s injury but seems like it was painfull but not dangerous...we will see!
England has Owen out and Rooney is not that well yet....at least doesn´t seems to be as good as he was in Euro2004 for instance. The rest of the team, only Gerard and Lampard are something special, the rest we can take care off in a good day! Beckam is only good if we give him room to cross...Nuno Valente should be aware of that!
Easy? Nop!!! But we don´t need any miracle! Just to play our best!

Brazil and Argentina are in the quarters and 6 of the 8 teams in the quarters are all past winners minus Uruguay.
GO PORTUGAL!!!!!!!!!!
🙂
