2 Japanese imports
made to English films shot down.
😛

😀 The
shooting of the zombie impersonators was funny.
😀

Tough call on this. I love the "so bad it's great"-ones, some of which have already been mentioned.

There's one from about `00 or so called simply Cut that was so lame and dirivitive that it actually pissed me off. It's an Australian movie starring Kylie Minogue(who had a hit pop-song a coupla years ago) about some kids who want to finish shooting a horror film(never liked the "film-within-a-film" technique, anyway) that got shelved years before due to murders on the set. Naturally, the kills kick-in again as soon as they start rolling. Tons of false scares, red herrings, and a totally out-the-arse ending. They had a slim chance of redeeming things with a decent ending solution to everything and they blow it. 😡

😀 It was a so bad it was funny horror flick. 😀

I was just at the right age to witness the rise and the fall of the slasher flicks from the 80s. The genre started out promising with the all-time classic horror flick "Halloween," but deteriorated into vile gross-out, gore-fests.

I think the worst horror flicks of all time came from the latter age of that genre. The worst was probably "Don't Go In The House," closely rivaled by "Don't Answer The Phone." I couldn't sit through "Don't Answer The Phone" so maybe it was actualy worse.

The whole "Don't Do Such and Such.." film series represents film-making at it lowest level. Strictly bottom of the barrel :sowrong:

This One

By a producer called Brain Damage. Ron Jeremy was in it.

Then there was one with these people trying to stop the Anti Christ. All I remember about it was they kept showing a film from the future?

Tron

😀 BBE: I think the titles gave away the horrendous plot. :blaugh:

Neutron: Those look like weird films.
😀

Hmmmmmm....didn't Brain Damage have the little blue creature that was feeding off the young guy it was attached to, all the while pumping a drug into his brain?

As for the second movie...I think it's John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness.

The Sean Man

Brain Damage sounds gnarly.
I guess Carpenter cant make all gems.
😀

If it's the movie I'm thinking of, it was made by Frank Henenlotter...the genius behind "Basket Case". And the creature was voiced by none other than....ZACHERLE!

Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes

Never been a fan of the Amityville series, but this one takes the cake. It's about a possessed lamp. Not like the genie-in-the-lamp, an ugly old plug-in lamp-of-evil. 😡

A lamp of evil?! ROFL!! Since the movie starred Patty Duke, I wonder if it was matching lamps? The real evil is the electric bill!!

The undisputed worst horror film of all time, and possibly the worst film period, is "Lord of Illusions". Scott Bakula stars in the worst piece of Clive Barker shlosh that has ever dented the silver screen.

In the years after High School it got to be a running joke among my friends. Whenever someone wanted to rent a movie we'd send people's girlfriends, and those girlfriends would always come back with "Lord of Illusions". It never frig'n failed, every damn time a girl would go to rent a movie it was a sure thing. That's not to say that the ladies have poor taste; in truth I had rented it before I knew any better.

What made it funny was how it kept happening over and over. Of course, we were dumb enough to watch it over and over so I guess the jokes on me.

And we'd ask: "Why did you rent that?'

And they'd always reply: "I thought it was scary and stuff."

Yes, scary indeed... scary that video stores still carried it!

Of course the best movie ever is "Mitchell", especially the MST3K version, but that's a different thread.

recently, i had the misfortune to watch a movie called 'satan's little helper'. while i didnt go through it all, and therefore my viewing and opinion is incomplete, the child actor (the 'little helper') spouts lines so fecal that i could smell them from here.
