Would Being Rich Change Your Life ?

Nope. I say this all of the time when the question comes up. I'd still be doing exactly what I'm doing, just less of it. :xpulcy: The rest of time would be spent giving to my charities, having fun with friends and paying off their bills along with mine, traveling... :bouncybou
XOXO

Sure it would, but i hope it would not change ME.I would do all the traveling i would like to do,and support causes i believe in.Sudden wealth seems to do strange things to people, but i have no desire to live in a mansion, have 10 cars,or do the other things so many people seem to want.

I really dont see that changing, even if i won the lottery for instance. That might have happened to me when i was younger, but i dont think it would now.

Pretending as if your life wouldn't change if you were rich, is ridiculous.

If I was rich, I'd be able to do a lot of things that I need to do, more comfortably. A lot of worries would be gone. School loans would be history, moving out of the dorms and away from my family would not be a frustration, etc.

Mentally, emotionally, personality-wise, I wouldn't change. And I don't think I would be one of those people that buy luxurious, unnecessary items just for the hell of it.

But yes, my life would be somewhat different.

Damn right it would. i could afford to have tickling sessions with literally anyone i wanted. :bowing:

Yes, knowing that I never had money problems again would dramatically change me.

I always said if I won a huge amount of money, I'd do the following:

Hire a lawyer to pick up the check; I don't want anyone bothering me-if I want to give someone money I will without being harrassed.

Portion sums to family and friends

Play a rendition of "take this job and shove it" over the loudspeakers at my job as Jeeves (or insert butler's name here) collects my belongings from my desk.

Then disappear into the sunset to live in luxuruious but obscure bliss alone.

I won't forget charities or needs of others, but will have someone head those programs in my absence.

I believe that one day I will become rich (or at least financially well-off). When I do, I won't forget those who have been in my corner the entire time. Other than that, I'd rather live a new life on my own in mystery.

Yes certainly it would. And it would change my personality a little. I would certainly be more open to new expierences and such, because I could afford to take the risk.
Of course I would take care of family and friends.
Of course I would give to charities.

Then..........buy my OWN radio or TV station or cable network (depending on the ammount of money) and finally start giving people what they want. The truth and none of this current crap the networks and cable news feed us.
And it would all be worth it.........
after all, Id turn to some of my TMF brethren to fill some "late night" scheduling gaps!!!!!!!

I've often thought about what would happen if I were rich. If my riches were gradually accumulating, then I probably wouldn't hint to anyone that I was well off. But if I hit the lottery, then I'd be fearful of all the gladhanders and scam artists, not to mention a potential threat to my kids. I'd move so nobody could find me.

And yes I'd change, for better AND worse. Better because I would take care of family and a few close friends, give to certain charity groups, and possibly set up scholarship funds for the kids in my old neighborhood in Detroit. And I'd be a complete A**hole to a lot of people in my life that deserve it. They would definitely be 'p3ned'.

I'm sure it wouldn't change who I am as a person but there's no denying that it would certaintly change my life. It owuld be a relief to know that I have that money to fall back on. I would save most of it and still keep my job. I would make life easier for myself and the rest of my family and friends. And if it were enough money, I would love to buy the Dallas Cowboys.

Yes, it would, depending on how much exactly, it would also change the life of my loved ones too.

I would pay off all loved ones debts as how could I enjoy a life of no money worries and travelling anywhere I chose without them enjoying it too. I'm quite a generous person anyway and want everyone to be happy, if I could take away money worries for them then I would, without hesitation.

I've always had itchy feet, as in wanting to travel and feel that a 9-5 job is dragging me down. I would like a reasonable house and a couple of fast cars (sorry but I've always loved speed, so that won't change lol).

I would stay true to myself as this is afterall who I am and what I'm about. If I did change then I would get told this from my closest and dearest which is not a bad thing.

Yes. I would retire this year, move to a warm climate, watch more baseball games, play more bridge, read more, and spend more hours sessioning with tickling Mistresses. 😀

o definitely it would change how i live..i've always wanted to build a replica of an English manor, complete with the gravel drive..and get traveling out of my system..and yea as far as charity is concerned..i've always wanted to build some sort of facility for those homeless who aren't homeless by choice, but have lost jobs, down on their luck etc.....to not only house and feed them, but to try and help get them on their feet again...and also give plenty to St Jude Hospital..which i do contribute now every month, but i could give them so much more..those are my children, i have their pictures plastered all over my refrigerator...and i would enjoy my money with my husband...would it change me as a person? hmm it might make me feel useful to have all that money..not sure though..

😱 Careful, Kis...that was a "Calling All Sycophants!" siren if I ever heard one... :dogpile: :bowing: :bowing: :bowing:

As for me...don't know if my life would change much, but I do know some other people's would. Without question, I would pay certain people exorbitant salaries to just follow their hearts and to develop the creative talents they have instead of watching them wither away while trapped in mundane jobs. I love the idea of providing freedom to "follow the artistic fire" to those who wouldn't be able or wouldn't have the courage to any other way.

Thanks for the charity reminder. i would definately increase my yearly $1 contribution to the jerry lewis telethon. not sure by how much though. 😕

Yes, depending on how rich.

If it's a few million, just improve my lifestyle and spend the equivalent of a full time job writing and illustrating. Also get the two oversized hip replacements that no insurance will pay for (in my size they cost about 250,000 EACH, just for the hip joints. The surgery to install them would be extra.) And a nicer place to live. Hire my three day a week helper full time, and have better food and drink. Maybe move back to New York. It's a great place to live if you're rich.
Then I'd go out to visit Steph :redheart: and Izzy :redheart: and Mz. Chaos :redheart: and others from here.

If it's more like a few hundred million, I'd build a mansion to my own design in NYC, a vacation home to my own design on the Mystic River in CT., across the river from The Museum Of America And The Sea with it's restored tall ships, and a 440 foot power yacht to my own design as well. These designs I speak of have already been drawn up. It's a hobby of mine. :wiseowl: I would also pay to have the restoration shipyard at the Museum in Mystic build full sized, actual working and sailing replicas of the U.S.S. Constitution and the historic clipper ship Flying Cloud, which I would then donate to the museum along with enough of an endowment to keep them repaired and sailing. :xpulcy:

I would begin a program of massive funding for the following medical programs;
Research into a non-surgical cure for breast cancer. :atom:
Research into a preventative for breast cancer. :atom:
Research into a full cure for AIDS. :atom:
Research into a preventative for AIDS. :atom:

I would also donate massively to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and fund a major public relations campaign to amend the constitution in order to clarify and protect the seperation of church and state, which seems to be under steadily increasing threat these days.

Then I'd do a lot of writing and ellustrating, and maybe run for political office the only way I ever would; financing my own campaign without taking a penny in contributions from any special interest. If elected, I would be the special interest's worst nightmare; an officeholder who owes them nothing and hates their stinking guts! :wavingguy
