Would you date a porn star?

My view is she (or he) is cheating, sex is called the same thing whether it's on camera or a one-night fling, if you're in a relationship, then either one is cheating.

Isn't "cheating" a matter of violating the agreed-upon rules of the relationship? That's pretty much how we define "cheating" in any context, right?

So if the agreed rules of the relationship stipulate monogamy, then I agree that working in the sex industry would be cheating. But if the agreed rules don't forbid it, then I can't see why it would be.

Porn stars don't necessarily have to have sex to be porn stars. Many just pose nude....swing on a bar....that kind of thing. I personally have never had the slightest interest in watching people fuck. I only like soft porn, and prefer pantyhose or lingeree to nudity.

Spent pretty much every weekend with one for 3 years. I knew what she did for a living. The subject never came up in our conversations.
She's a very intelligent and articulate person, and we had so much else to talk about.

Possibly, although I really don't know... could bring up a whole host of weird issues. I'd certainly be incredibly uncomfortable with the idea of her doing sexual stuff with other people - whether that's guys or girls or whatever - but at the same time I can't really see myself actually avoiding dating someone who I liked a lot just because of one thing about their lifestyle that made me a little uneasy. Anyway, I bet having a boyfriend into tickling could be just as big as a freakout as having a girl who made porn, depending on the person anyway, but I wouldn't exactly be happy if someone wouldn't go out with me just because of this amaaaaaaaaaaazing tickling thing I have. That's the most thought out post in this thread. I agree to a point, the only thing I would say to that is I would not tickle anyone for sexual gratification except the person I had the relationship with, I would expect the same amount of fidelity.

I am not sure how you define a pornstar it is like the difference between an actor and a movie star.

I am currently dating someone who has been in porn and will probably do future stuff. Some of it is solo and the rest with her other partner so I know there is safety (they regularly test anyway).
